In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Nicholas Giavasis / [email protected]

It seems I jumped the gun with my post about Nick. It turns out he's just a really busy family man. Since I can't delete here, I would like this to be considered a retraction and personal apology to Nick. Dale Goins

Wow. You're one of the lucky few. Congratulations on a successful deal with this horrible person. :shrug01:

he is a total waste of time.. emails and demands you lower your price to suit his needs and then harasses ya afterward cause you won't play low ball with him.

Nick Giavasis is a very rude person and liar. He brags about being 50 and acts nothing like it. This "Nik" contacted me recently pulling the same crap as everyone else is stating. I kept telling him the same price and he would not settle for getting at least 25% off compared to everyone else's price. He calls his price raping a "negotiating" technique. He started running his mouth more and more so I had to block him to not be bothered by his twisted views anymore. Looks like he keeps repeating the same story as time goes on. Definitely beware of "Nicholas Giavasis" or "Colorado"!!!

I'm with Dale on this.. As I posted on one of the other threads Nick started, I had a good transaction with him. I think the only issue with this person is he needs more education on the morphs and should have lurked around the forums for quite some time before deciding to approach sellers a certain way.

I've learned that you really need to "conform" to exactly what the members and customers want. Otherwise you are worthless. One mistake will hang you. It's like highschool drama.

So the guy is flamboyant and probably has a short temper disguised as a smart arse attitude. My suggestion is to ignore his emails if they bother you.

Had he done that to me, I would not have replied. Had he told me he had an albino het for pastel, I would have politely explained that pastel is a visual and co dominant gene and therefore nothing can be het for it. Then I would not have emailed any more.

Maybe he just hasn't "learned" the hobby and it's people quite yet. I'm not sticking up for someone who has insulted others for no good reason, but having done one flawless deal with this man, I will not hesitate to do another.

You might want to read his other threads on here. You may change your mind yet again.

While I can't speak to the particulars of this deal, I have done purchases with Nick in person and never had any problems. He is also a VERY busy guy (all the time) as far as I can tell...

No offense, but considering you're also from "Colorado", you sound like someone he's paid to come on here and speak well of him to attempt damage control.

It doesn't matter if 2 people come on here and say they had a good deal, 98%of the rest of us that have dealt with him have no problems relaying what a nightmare it was and how horrible it was dealing with such a nasty person.

Maybe you should check good guy threads about me before you make baseless (and borderline libelous) accusations. I'm fairly sure I said in my very first post that I had done deals with him in person. Do you want copies of emails that date back months and pictures of a rack I purchased from him? Like I said, I'm not trying to speak to the particulars, just saying I have done stuff with him and it has always gone fine. He usually has a table at the Denver Reptile Expo and I have seen him do tons of business without hearing any complaints.

I think you should re-think your statements before you accuse someone of baseless and "borderline libelous" accusations -

1- Definition of libel - A written, printed, or pictorial statement that unjustly defames someone publicly.

2- As it seems you're new here, only assuming, because of your post count - I honestly don't know - I suggest talking to the moderators on this site as well as the owner about what happens when people start screaming "libel" on this forum. It's the BOI. - it doesn't get you anywhere.

My statements about Nicholas Giavasis were nowhere NEAR baseless, nor was anything *I* said libelous, concerning you or him. It is ridiculous to make such a statement, especially considering his conduct with nearly all members on this forum community. You responded to every thread about him with the same comment, appearing to not even bother with reading the experiences of other people. That seems very suspicious that you are appear to be a new member that just came here to defend him for some reason when his behavior has been appalling.
If you had bothered to read the threads on this forum that have been started by other people that have dealt with Nicholas Giavasis, including this one, in their entirety, you would perhaps understand that calling him a horrible, nasty person is entirely deserved based on fact. He treated me with complete and total disrespect, nastiness, rudeness, whatever you want to call it - and I am NOT the only one that was subjected to his horrible interpersonal skills.

If you've had great dealings with him, congratulations. You're a minority here. If you're a great seller/breeder/buyer, congrats, you have nothing to worry about, and it's nice to have another nice person on the forum.

Also, I did look up your stats on this forum, and while you have nothing negative said about you, I've only found:

Not saying that's a good or bad thing, but YOUR personal forum activity count has nothing to do with Nicholas Giavasis or how "trustworthy" you are. I know from personal experience here that until you've spent time and attempted to establish a reputation in this community as a whole, you really aren't taken very seriously.

And no, I don't need or want any e-mails of anything having to do with him, I've had quite enough. As I said, Congrats on your good deal, again, but it doesn't have anything to do with how horribly he treats the majority of others.

Bunch of haters ;)

I just dealt with Nick in person a few weeks ago and have had no issues. My wife and I took about 20 hatchling BPs off of his hands and still have 15 or so more on hold. The link below is my post, and all of the hatchlings pictured there came from Nick. They're healthy and are as advertised.

People are not 'haters' as you and Nick say for disliking someone as rude, long-winded, and entitled as Nick is. He seems according to the messages here to be a decent seller, but as a buyer and even potential buyer he's been a nightmare to enough member to ne himself three or four bad guy threads... a pretty hefty number for someone clearly trying to make a name for himself (claiming to have bought over 100 animals in the last couple of months etc).

Seems like those buying from or dealing "face-to-face" are happy with Nick. I would imagine that it is much easier to be nice to people when they are putting money in your pocket or there is the risk of getting the cr@p kicked out of you if you talk to someone in the same way you can get away with in an email. Just an observation after reading all the posts.

Even though I started this thread to relay my horrible, hateful and sexist interactions with Nicholas Giavasis, I agree with Alex that it seems as long as you're dealing with him IN COLORADO, you seem to be fine. If you're out of the state, you'll be stomped on and disrespected without hesitation. Seems strange to me.

However, I think my e-mail evidence and the other 4 bad guy threads about Nicholas Giavasis speak for themselves about his character and reputation.

I refuse to participate in a thread and communicate with these new members to Fauna, who have 1 post or 2 posts, FROM Colorado, who ironically have only commented in all in Nicholas Giavasis's threads that don't even seem to read the horrible things he has put others through. They come on here blindly defending him because they've dealt with him locally or possibly because he's asked them to. And they come here screaming "Haters" and disrespecting others and what they've been put through because of Giavasis.

Bottom line is it doesn't matter if local people have had good deals with him - my personal dealings with him is were a horrible experience and from all of the threads about him, you never know if you'll have a good experience or a bad one. It is not a risk I think any seller would want to take, especially after reading Robert McPhee's experience with him. I'm not going to play this silly game. =p
