Having now read the entire thread there are several things that bother me about this buyer.

1) He asked for consideration from the seller when he couldn't pay the full amount on time and got it. But when the seller needed more time to ship he did not grant it. This doesn't totally excuse the seller but it does make the buyer look like he expects others to treat him way better than he treats them.

2) The buyer makes a huge deal about missing 2 days of work but it looks like he is actually retired and self-employed with a home based bussiness selling herps, fossils, minerals, artifacts, real estate, ect. It seems to me that it's likely he decided on his own not to do any work those days and that if he wanted to he could have easily gotten on the computer and done any number of tasks related to his home based bussiness, as long as he didn't have to physically leave the premises. Plus he said he had taken his daughter(s) out of school that day too so, depending upon their age(s), he might have easily left home for a few hours if he needed to do something like ship a package or show a property. So it seems to me like he is just trying to make a big deal out of something that really was just his own choice. It's also unusual that he would take his daughter(s) out of school just so they could see the snakes arrive. I have to wonder if his daughters are actually home-schooled and it was again his choice to just let them not do any work that day. Granted much of this is speculation but it's based on the facts the seller himself stated, which are that he said he is "retired" and that he said he ordered and/or sold "100's of snakes" and "tons" of minerals.

3) The buyer claims that it's a simple matter of the seller not shipping when he said he would but there are several details the buyer is omitting. They are that the buyer himself had already asked for delayed shipping so that he could set up more cages. The delay caused by the buyer not being ready to house the snakes also created the need for the buyer to ask for the snakes to be fed again prior to shipping. It appears that after the snakes were fed, the weather got significantly colder, thus forcing the seller to use heat packs. The heat packs did not arrive in time so the shipping had to be delayed again. So it is not a simple matter of the seller not shipping on time, the buyer and seller were mutually responsible for the shipping delays.

4) It also appears that the buyer "flips" alot of the snakes he buys. This is not bad in itself but it does lead me to believe that he may have been trying to get the seller to pump up the snakes with food so that the buyer didn't have to feed them before selling them. Again I am speculating a little bit but it is based on facts the seller admits to, ie in another thread the buyer is shown to have sold groups of ball pythons, the buyer states that he vends at a local herp show and it is a fact that the buyer placed alot of importance on the snakes being fed before shipping.

5) Overall throughout the negotiating stage the buyer never gives the impression that he his in a hurry to recieve the snakes. It's the exact opposite, the buyer leads the seller to believe that the delays are a good thing because they allow him to better prepare to recieve the snakes and because they allow the snakes to be fed more and pumped up before shipping. The portrayal by the buyer, that later is better than sooner, is carried on consistently throughout many emails. I think that this contributed greatly to the seller having a sort of lack of urgency to where he felt it really wan't going to be an issue if shipping got delayed by one or two more days.

6) As far as the seller spending the money before they buyer recieved and ok'd the snakes, that was wrong for the seller to do. But I have to factor in the fact that it was they buyer first who sent the money and then asked the seller to wait on shipping. So initially the seller is sitting on this money just waiting for the buyer to say it's ok to ship. This shouldn't excuse the seller completely but I have to acknowledge that the buyer created a hardship for the seller by sending the money and then asking him to wait on shipping.

7) Finally there is the overall way in which the buyer speaks. One can pick almost any random quote from any of the buyers emails or posts and see the buyer either putting himself on a pedestal or being demeaning and insulting towards others.

I wouldn't buy from or sell snakes to this buyer. Overall he seems arrogant, rude and demeaning. He expects considerations and special treaments from others that he is not willing to give in return. Granted there is no evidence that he is a thief or a true bad guy in that sense. Maybe he could be fine to deal with in person but I just don't think I would want to have any dealings at all with a person of his general attitude.

With that said, and considering I use a PC all day, my words are in type, his are "kinda" in type, about 10% of what he said to us. OK, get that? Most of what McPhee said to us was on the phone. I have said this about 20 times now. He called our house one evening no less than 6 times, only to leave rude messages, two of which my daughters heard. No guys & gals, you can say what you want, think what you want, do what you want, but I have many people I have done business with that know me, know how I act, how I do business! Since this young guy has started his lying, and his somewhat 'weird' actions, I have done much business, and as usual, it is without incident or issue. As usual, as it's always been, since McPhee has been in grade school, those doing business with me are happy........buying or selling.
Also, to answer to the comment that the above writer submitted about me being arrogant......tell me, how would you be after being lied about, slammed on a forum AFTER the liar which started the thread was just moments before begging you to not advertise his actions, his lies? How would you feel if/when your email box was full of someone's immature friends emailing you, or creating lies about you?
As stated earlier, I have received many emails from many people I do business with......so McPhees lies are all in vane. There are a few people siding with him, but everyone that does business with me know that I bend over backwards to make sure all are happy. The proof is in the pudding....and hence, that is why he still has every snake he couldn't sell to me......because they either didn't exist, they were not born yet, he had not found snakes to broker to me yet, or his snakes were far far too young.........take your pick.......but the fact remains, I paid, he did not ship. The funny thing is this, after all is said and done......I ONLY ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK. IS THAT SO BAD OF ME? REALLY?! AND ALL OF THIS ATTENTION TO MCPHEES LIES, IT'S REALLY WORTH YOUR TIME?.........LAMO!

Can you please show me where you proved that Robert has lied and has lied more than once? You have referred to his lies or called him a liar 8 times in this one post. You said you could prove it but never did. You have been asked countless times to prove that Robert is a liar and either ignored the question or just said we are supposed to believe you. Now don't take this as an attack on you, address my questions as concern for other members that might not want to deal with a liar and you would be helping them out. Robert even said if you could prove that he lied he would match the refund he already sent you of $850. Now since you don't care much about proving all your accusations because for whatever reason, fine. But why would you turn down $850 free money and don't tell me you don't need it because that would be well a lie. $850 is $850 no matter how you slice it. So what's it going to be, prove your accusations win a prize for doing what you should have done anyway or continue to boast a pound your chest about how great you are and provide nothing useful for this community to go on.

Please refer to the earlier post where I posted my phone records indicating the number of times I called. Once again Nick is calling me a liar without any proof. This is simply another lie in Mr. Giavasis' web of lies. I left 2 messages after I was informed that Nick wanted a refund out of the blue. I don't have any access to the voicemails, of course, so I cannot prove what was said. I spoke to his daughter one time I called and she said he was unavailable. I was trying to talk to him over the phone because I was so shocked that he was seeking a refund, but he refused.
All of my phone calls are documented in my phone log I posted earlier.
Mr. Giavasis, you sir are a Dishonorable man and I shutter to think that you, yourself see "your way" of business as being the right way. You never get very far in life taking advantage of those who may financially tied. You never get very far in life bullying and calling names. You never get very far in life treating others like trash........Frankly Im surprised you made it to 50 years old without someone setting you straight. The lessons you missed are normally those lessons that 17 and 18 year olds learn. One final note, I pray you are not passing this way of thinking to your children, that would be a shame!

I have a couple of boas on fauna and he says shoot him a email to discuss my boas. To make a long story short the two boas i have are listed for $800 total. He email me back and says he is a retired Army vet. I asked him what Unit he was with. Well all i have to say is that there has never been a unit that he was in. I checked on it. LOL. But besides the point. He tryed talking me down from $800.00 shipped for the pair to $375.00 shipped. Keep in mind that i got a quote of $82.00 for shipping. So i said i couldnt sell him the boas. He came back to me very rude and he would buy from me in the future all i had to do was email him and he would buy more boas.

I told him the best offer i could do for both is $700.00 shipped. He wrote back saying that price was an insult. I emailed him back and said "bud i dont think you will go to far if you are trying to start a buisness. You are asking below wholesale prices on reptile that people are not selling wholesale". But yet he still email me and i just erase them.

Sooooooo if you get am email from him just put it in you spam of trash cause that all he is to me.

I need to add, can anyone say anything on this forum? If I had a bad incident with someone months ago, can anyone that is unhappy with a response, an action, words they may not like to hear, someone's schedule, if someone answers with a "yes" or a "no".....can someone such as Kev slam me? Now that I have calmed down please allow me to say, I was intending to get back to Kev after I returned home. I had to work (changing a hot water heater for oneof my tenants) and I had NOT had a chance to get back to Kevin. With his assumption that I did not want his reptiles, he submitted a bold-faced-lie! Sorry David, I should have done spell-check, but I am SO SO SO SO pissed right now. i was lied about....for NO reason. I did nothing to Kevin, nothing. I asked for prices, he obviously replied, I had to leave my home to work, and then go work at one of my rentals, then work some more..........and work, and work, and work....and then see Kevin lying....wow, it just set me off. Had I done something wrong, by all means, lay it on me....but I did nothing but WORK and then have to see his childish lies.
