    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I agree that the more info, the better. But if it is as easy as retrieving info, then that's a good thing.

Agreed. Although the ranting from Nick didn't do him any favors, the e-mail string could clear a little up. Was it generic chatter - "hey I'm retired Army", "got into snakes XXX years ago", "have 3 kids/wife/dog/whatever". Or was it "hey I'm retired Army - you should cut me a deal 'cause I did our country a service and if you don't I'll tell people you are anti-military"?

I could post "hey I'm Kelly - I work for a law firm, have a family, etc." or I could say "hey I'm Kelly - I work for a law firm. Try and scam me and I'll nail you to the wall". Totally different.

Really, either way you guys didn't come to an agreement, Mr. Giavasis didn't scam you/back out of a deal/etc. so I'm not exactly sure why this was started???

My guess.... to show a pattern. It's been a little bit since I read the original posting of this thread... but didn't Nick try to really low ball the OP as well?

Kevin, you said that you started erasing Nick's emails after he offered $375 shipped and you told him the lowest you could sell for was $700.

He posted emails (copied and pasted, not screen shots) that show that you offered to sell to him for $425, and he countered with $400.

Can you say anything to clarify that?
 
Nick flaked out on me when I drove 2 hrs to pick up a spider female ball python. We had established price and a location, but he failed to respond back to me on the day of pick up...made me very sad and frustrated.
 
Ok, I REALLY don't want to sound like I am defending Nick, but why would you drive 2 hours without talking to him on the day of pick-up?

Excellent catch Dave! I am not defending Nick either. However Kevins story has fallen apart, and he seems to have vanished.
 
Good morning everyone! I want to start off by making a very true statement that all friends can verify......99.9% of all dealings I have are wonderful and effortless dealings.....99.9% of all dealings are completed and both parties are happy.......99.9% of all relations concerning any and all of my reptile business is fun and effortless. There WILL be people which are unhappy from time to time. This forum allows people to post their personal opinions, and we must keep in mind, also allows them to possibly lie, attack, and or work to ruin a persons GOOD reputation.
Now, I want to say just a few things....One, Ashley, I am so sorry. I will email you and get things fixed, even if it means I'm buying you a cup of something warm to drink. Our meeting was messed up by "life". Ya know, beyond the snake-thing we all do, life gets to us. I got rid of my cell Ashley (many friends can vouch for that statement) and I could not call you. Again, I'll email you and see if I can help in any way! I am sorry!
Second, people, PLEASE understand that the Marine-guy, whatever the kids name is, clearly this kid lied through his teeth. He had/has NO PROOF of any claim he made. He worked to damage my name and reputation, period. He saw that Robert and I had a misfortunate misunderstanding in the past, and he fed off of and worked off of that miusrepresented event from our past. He was devilish in his approach, and it sad that one is so free to cause such grief and damage to a persons reputation.
Third, I work to complete all business transactions, snake trades, etc. with any and all I do business with. If something comes up which prevents something from being completed, I apologize. I buy and sell a heck of a lot of reptiles, and I repeat, 99.9% of all relations are wonderful. Not one business, not one person or entity will always have 100% of all customer, buyers, sellers, happy 100% of the time. I'm just a guy that collects, buys, sells, handles, breeds, and has fun with his kids when it comes to animals. We rescue animals in need and have been known to help locally/socially as well taking part in animal food drives, The Scrurry Furry Fund Raiser in Denver, and we have also given no less than 200-300 pounds of dog food to local shelters. We know who we are, I know who I am, and I know we're good people. I do not need the Marine-Guy nor anyone else to approve of who I am or what I do. The kid lied and since he did I have paid for it socially. I'm done with his little games. If someone wants to do business with me, great, if not, I'd say it's both of our losses. Any animal which enters or is born at our home is treated with kindness, care, handled daily, and in fact very very spoiled. Heck, we treat and feed our feeders better than many people treat the very snakes we discuss......this hopefully helps to explain how dedicated we are to the successes of our hobby.
Finally, please know that anyone, at any time, is free to email me direct ([email protected]). My ears, eyes, and mind are open to any and all intelligent conversation or comments. I can PROVE that any claim made against me, against how I do business, is false.......well, except the claim that I go OFF much too quickly, harshly, and directly (for this I will apologize....but that's what growing in a loud in-your-face gonna-kick-your-ass Greek family will do to ya, LMAO!). We do not lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, or work to hurt others......never have, and never will.

in my opinion, kevin should probably choose his words more carefully in the future, but i personally doubt that he was sitting there thinking 'hmmm, i need to destroy this guy. how can i do that?' you make it sound as if it was a calculated decision with malicious intent. while i don't know kevin, he does not strike me as that kind of person.

did he lie? i don't know. no proof has been shown of that either way. it appears as though he was definitely a little quick to make comments on something he didn't do enough research on.

you have been asked several times to prove yourself, yet have failed to do so. at least on here.

but then again, i'm just some coward marine hoping that you'll come along to save me. what do i know?
