In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't know if this is the right place to post my concerns about classifieds on this server but I think this guy is trying to scam people. I have only been keeping leos for 6 years so I'm no expert but I can spot a normal blizzard when I see it. This guy has been posting on here edited pics of a normal blizzard claiming its a "midnight blizzard" and now he claims it's a marble eye which is complete bs. My very first and oldest leo is a blizzard and people can now easily purchase one for around 15-30 bucks at a show or even at a petco ,not the 350-700 range he s trying to get.

I been trying to reply to his thread but for some reason I can't.

My apologies if it's on the wrong section.

Glad to see that contributing members left comments on the ads and hopefully deterred people from being scammed..

There are two more ads that are turned off, both contain the small picture from the ad titled Marble Eye Black Blizzard.

One posted on 1/02/14 titled Very Dark Blizzard
Very Dark Blizzard Female
I have been holding onto this girl for about a year but haven't done much with her. Since the day I bought her, her color has been very dark and even close to jet black at times. I believe she is some sort of blizzard but the coloration could do wonders for future breeding projects. If anyone is starting a black morph or working with black pearls or charcoals, this may be the perfect girl for you.
I am asking for $650 shipped but if that is too much I can negotiate a price. If you would like more pictures or more information, email me at [email protected]. If you are interested also email me! Thank you!

And one posted on 1/04/14 titled Black Blizzard Female $400 Shipped
This is a very special offer. I have had this girl for a couple of months but havent had time to work with the genetics. This is a gecko that would be very key in a breeding project for dark/black leopard geckos. $400 may seem like alot for one gecko but I see this as a start for a bright future. If you are interested in her please email me at

Just mentioning it because somewhere between the 4th and the 8th it developed marbled eyes apparently.

Good job, sleuths :)

And especially good eye and warning, Mario! Your post is not in the wrong section and is valid and valuable to all members of the community. Thanks for contributing.

That's quite the exceptional morphing (normal) Blizzard "morph" that dude has

Buyers beware and then LYBO.

My first thoughts were someone "thought" they had something based on how it looked and figured because it looked the same it must be the same. Happens a lot actually. Then I read the other two that clay found and he's clearly trying to scam someone into thinking its something special. Anyone who had their hand on a $300-$700 leo would be absolutely certain of its genetics.

Just because theres a "marbling" pigmentation in the eye does not make it a marble eye. Blizzards also have eye pigment. And just because its darker than some doesnt make it special or worthy of a black pearl/charcoal type project.

Not to mention his comment "I feel like there is a good chance this may be genetic if not it is definitely polygenic" is just ridiculous.

This would be a case-in-point about buying from someone reputable.

To be honest I wasn't going to post anything until I saw his past ads and came to the same conclusion as the rest of you. Maybe now the gecko will stop evolving into different morphs lol and the seller can stop trying to scam people, but most importantly hopefully he can find that gecko a nice permanent home.

Thx for confirming I was in the right section Laura. My user name might not be new to the site but it wasn't until a few months ago when I started purchasing high end geckos that I realized the wealth of information that's on this site, specially when looking up breeder reputation.
