    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This would be a much better forum if that was done
See i believe that the B.O.I. is a good resource if kept in the right perspective

It is your responsibility to refrain post nonsense on the BOI. No one else can prevent you from doing it. I'm sorry if you felt that I was rude, but most people (including myself) find posts like that on the BOI annoying. Don't be annoying and people (probably) won't be rude to you. It works like that throughout society...not just here. In the future, perhaps it would be a better idea to think before you post rather than after.

The "poo flinging posts" were at least referring to something in the topic. Your post was of a personal nature to someone who was involved in this topic approximately 5 months ago. Additionally, Dennis makes a lot of ludicrous and nonsensical posts on this site...it's almost to be expected of him. It's also one of the reasons that so many people have such a low opinion of him. Have you ever heard the saying "don't be that guy?" Well...don't.

Since this thread is about rules and enforcing/not enforcing them, then may I ask, sheepishly, as I'm not trying to offend anyone, but...Why Is He Still Here?

He annoys this tar out of everyone, I am sure. He's NOT funny and he has sprung a leak as his posts aren't even confined to **HELL** anymore; his drivel is seeping out of it to every corner of this site. Putting him on ignore is fine and dandy, but it's like his deleted posts...they leave a hole in a thread that makes the thread hard to read.

Again, not trying to tell you mods what to do, your job is hard enough, just curious, as the way it looks, flushing that turd would be much easier than trying to moderate his drooling impression of intellect.

Of course we all need someone to point and laugh at...I nominate Dennis Dynes if there's a vote on that!:dgrin:

However it seems that the rules are not strictly enforced on the BOI as i see trolling and VULGAR posts there as i am writing this that i have reported and nothing was done about it

I got 3 warning points for the post Denise. Wouldnt you say thats fair...that the mods did their job and heard your complaint? I dont know if it was easy for the mods to issue the points or difficult. I dont know if they laughed at the post or if they frowned upon it. I dont know if there should be more rules or less rules. One thing I do know....I dont care. However it goes...I'll always be doing my thing even if it has its price.

Not to me. Thats exactly what I was shooting for. It was either the bootstrap boys video box or a wedding bouqet. Either way it seemed to make the same statement.

And....I completely stayed away from the shape of Bruce's noggin. I could have had a field day with that one. If you know what I'm capable of you should know I went very very easy this time.
 
I voted strickly enforce the rules..

I did vote for strickly enforce the rules and dont wish to change my mind but why cant there be a slap on the wrist for people that didnt realize they were doing wrong.
Rules are there to be followed the best we can not as a ultimate demand and unbendeing law to be reckoned with. There are people that knowing violate the rules and should be dealt with accordingly and then there are people that just make a mistake. Should both parties be treated equally. Does a murderer get treated the same as a shop lifter. better yet the difference between 1st degree murder (carrying the death penalty) and 2nd degree murder is the fact you knew what you were doing before you did it and each offense is punished accordingly, do you see my point??
There are (and i wont point fingers) people on here that are very quick to pull the trigger on others for the slightest of mistakes and others that understand the way things are and can see through the BS and not pull the trigger on somebody for a honest mistake.
As far as trolls go , he is definetely one and has the honor of being the first fauna member to be on my "ignore" list to never bother me again!!!

I agree. I would have deleted my own post if I could. If it's so annoying - just get rid of it. Seeing as it has no relevance to the topic at hand, who would miss it other than the poster?

I voted for strict enforcement - and stand by it. Without rules, the BOI would be no better than **HELL**. Right now, it's not too far off. And the reason is the ISN'T strict enforcement. The only time I've EVER seen strict enforcement of the rules is with my post.

If every off topic post got a warning point, I'd bet we'd see a lot less. But the fact is I see the same people posting off topic all the time, and I never even see a warning.

I, on the other hand, didn't think in a moment of excitement, and got slammed on my first offense - and was belittled on top of it. If you are heavy handed with one, you need to be with all. Not doing so sends the wrong message - especially to the repeat offenders that you let slip.
