Ok gaxx hasnt ate all of this week!! it is starting to bother me alotand i dont understand it... I put him into his own cage, he still doesnt eat... He was haveing solid poop until he stopped eating so i dont think he has parasites!! Maybe the female just isnt giveing to him what he would like LOL i dont know what the problem is... His tail has lost a little bit of mass if you can help me please do!!!

oh and sorry that i havent been around for a while i have been working!

we TALKED ABOUT THIS LAST NIGHT...

he just has his mind on mating, put any male leo with a female leo and this will happen, clean out his tank and the tank furniture and put him back in alone, leave him for a week then try handfeeding him a mealworm, sqeeze it from the head to the middle untill it gets stiff and rup the sharper end on his mouth and he'll eat it feed him just that one and he'll be back to his old self

when males are interested in breeding they will loose a bit of weight so the little bit of tail weight lost is nothing, give him a few pinkies and he'll be fine

Brandon,
After spending an outrageous amount at the vet when my boys stopped eating and lost weight and trying every form of antibiotic/de-wormer....with no results.....I finally figured it out....they want to do nothing but breed....food is seconadary. Put him in his own enclosure and I'd say within a wekk or two you will see him eating. All my boys bounced back after spending some time alone in the vacation tank....and sure enough you put them back with their woman and that is all that matters....

Try gutting a waxworm and squeezing out the mushy stuff....rub it around his mouth and see what happens! I had to do this with my one boy as if I had to teach him how to eat again. It stimulated his drive to eat everything in site.

Good luck!

Maybe my male was just different. But when he was breeding, he ate just as much if not more than he did before he was breeding. I guess mine just wan't sex craved like everyone else's males...lol....

LMAO, well that is definately a sure fire sign. There are usually 2, the old "close my eyes, and pretend she's someone else" and the drink so much that it really doesn't matter anymore, lol.
