    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well you see I have this problem. My Female Graziani Pastel is breeding size this year and I cant figure out what to breed her too. My plans where to breed her to my Pinstripe but he is showing no interest. I guess he is not ready to man up. I really wanted to produce some Lemon Blasts this year.:shrug01:

I could breed her to my Black Pastel (Pewters), Fire ( Fire Flies), Butter (Pastel Butters), Spider (Bees), Mojave (Pataves), Lemon Pastel (Super Pastels), Enchi (Enchi Pastels) or Yellow Belly (Pastel Yellow Bellies).

Maybe you guys and girls could help me with my problem? What to do :rolleyes: what to do????
 
It's ultimately up to you and what YOU really want. If lemonblasts are what you REALLY wanted to produce this year, just give him some time. As much as I'd love to be one of the lucky ones that already has eggs in the 'bator, my season is going to be a late one...AGAIN (last year, my last few clutches were laid around the middle of August!) I've got a few boys that may not breed until March (or even later).

I really want a lemonblast, too, but I love fireflies so that's the route that I would take....but that's just MY opinion. Good luck with whichever way you go. Sounds like you've got quite a few nice choices!!
 
Some males just aren't ready when you expect them to be. What I do with dominants and incomplete dominants is back up with another male. When you're dealing with that type of genetic inheritance you don't have to worry about determining the father of the clutch.

I'd still try the Pin male and just rotate him with another male just in case. Other then that, I'd suggest you choose what you like.

This is one of the options I was thinking. Usually if I notice a male showing no interest in the female I will get a sperm plug from another male and that does the trick. But with this guy I am not sure if he is ready. I dont have that gut feeling. :shrug01:

LMAO!! I got up this morning, groggy and went straight to the BOI. By the time I got to this thread, I guess my mood was a little too "deep"! Translated into more casual conversation, what I said was, "I like the fireflies, but if you really want a lemonblast, you've still got plenty of time." :thumbsup:

(I try not to get online before at least 2 big cups of coffee!:rofl:)

My plans are failing this year because of reluctant males, too...But what I have done, so I get SOMETHING, because I am working with recessives is I am trying the single recessive trait that I originally wanted as the sire and then my second option is a co-dominant male, so that way it will be easy to tell what the offspring are when the eggs hopefully hatch.

For example, My original goal was VPI Axanthic x Genetic Stripe. The male isn't working out, but I am still trying, however I also threw in a Spider. It's not what I was hoping for but it's still a good thing :)

It really is up to you and I would pick your two top choices and go from there.
