In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

nothing but bad luck so far

so far i have 6 females lay eggs but only 1 has been good :shrug01: i have no idea wtf i am doing wrong :bandhead0:bandhead0:bandhead0 any one else having these probs ? what sucks is i have seen all the ones that layed the duds i have seen them hooked up on multiple occasions could it be that most were virgin females ?

A couple things come to mind:
First, is this the first clutch of the season for each female? It's fairly common to have the first clutch be infertile because the timing might be off. Many times the female has already ovulated before she mates so no fertilization takes place. If that's the case, it shouldn't be a problem with future clutches.

Second, and less likely, it might be a problem of temps. and/or cycling. While most Leos don't need to be cooled and cycled to successfully breed that may be a problem. Or, perhaps your male has low fertility due to excessively high/low temps. without knowing your exact situation and setup it's hard to say.

Best of Luck,
John

Speaking for cresteds, the first clutch is often infertile, especially if they breed before reaching around 35 grams. Should get better for you in the future.

What species are the geckos??

If they're cresties, they don't need a hot spot-in fact it can KILL them if the temps go over 80! They will ROAST!

As others have said, the first season is usually a mix of dud eggs and a few good ones.

Even in subsequent seasons, the first clutch may be duds, and weather, diet, time of mating, and other variables can affect whether the eggs are fertile or not.

Gee. I'm not a leo breeder. There are quite a few here on Fauna, if they check this thread, they can help you out!

I've had a couple of leos, but never got to breeding them.

Cresties, I know.

Wish I could be more help!

But I'll say a prayer and send good juju for your breeders and the eggs!!

:yesnod:

Good luck!!
