    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What show was that? Was there a business name of any kind on their table? Got any first or last names for the two of them?

The reason I ask is that a road trip may be in my near future if these clowns are doing shows in Ohio.
 
seems like having your state in your info hurts some of us because of others even if we dont know them. i do not know this micheal or nvp either other then bashin them in forums and i guess bashing someone isnt a good idea with where you are from in your info because now it seems they want to put me into this also.
 
it is in west carrollton ohio. it is inside of a indoor flea market basically. the address is 1100 e cental ave. the show is also announced on craigs list right before the the show/expo. i had to mapquest it to get to it so you may have to also. even though mapquest had me in circles i found a mailman at the burger king near by that gave me the exact directions. it is inside of a building named something like rodenburgers or some crap.

In this post you say you "live by Dayton" and it sounds like you know these guys (I use the plural form there VERY loosely) well enough to be very adamant in your declaration that they are all the same guy and "scummy." I'm just wondering if you can shed some more light on the connections between "JS Reptiles/LAW Reptiles/Got Herps/Gem City Exotics, etc" and Donald Rolland and Jay/Jason Day....since you also state you can recognize pictures of them and tell us if it is them or not.

I don't think I would consider buying breeding stock at anything that could be termed a "flea-market". Not that you did, Bo, but it seems like these other folks are congregating there for that purpose.
 
Ahhh, was that the new show that just started up? Maybe a trip to the upcoming Columbus show will be in order. Need to drop off some goodies to Mr. Orner anyway.

Right now, it absolutely hurts innocent people...no doubt about it. Someone who is established from the area will likely be ok...but guys who suddenly show up out of nowhere and want to sell/trade expensive morphs and hets.....they're gonna get nailed, whether they deserve it or not. Unintended consequences of the jerk(s) who started this "Dayton, OH Scammer Ring".

So, if you come under a bit of extra scrutiny, however undeserved, please bear with us. Speaking for myself alone....I've got plenty of room left for "benefit of the doubt" where you are concerned...but I may yet have some tough questions. I tried to extend as much benefit of the doubt as I could to ***nvp*** as well....until his persona started falling apart under harder scrutiny.
 
no i didnt buy anything from it other then a spoongebob toy from the fleamarket area for mydaughter. i just went to it because i have never been to a reptile expo and wanted to see what it was like. well there was only like 8 people at it selling which i thought to be kind of lame i was thinking an expo would be huge. i asked the lady collecting the entry fee at the door why it was so small and she said she didnt know there was more venders the last time and them a guy came over and said alot of the vendors went to a show in shelbyville ky. well i went in anyhow and looked around and spoke to one vender to see about a cage for my female carpet and he didnt have any. so u preceeded to talk a minute and told him i had talked to some guys at a place called all about wood about buying one or having one built since they deal with wood and he said they are here and pointed me to there table. thats when i seen both the guys in the pictures at the table. i dont know which is jay but both is there and when the posting of there face was put up on the myspace post i verifyed that it was them. now as far as my post of i live by dayton, since i dont live very far from it i always same i live by it because i do. i dont live in it but i do live by it it is about 45 mins to an hour straight up 75 north from me.
 
well like i said i do not breed or sell animals. i have only 4 and i have pictures of my babys on bp.net and iherp. i have inexpensive snakes. none are morphs i dont suppose unless you consider the hcq tiger carpet i just bought from will bird as morph. im not familiar with all of this morph stuff. so i guess my question would be is a hcq tiger carpet a morph?

There's this crazy little button under each post that says "Quote" where it quotes the person that you are answering, and you can actually see the questions they're asking you while you answer them.

I would prefer to see questions asked and answered here. :)
 
thank you for letting me know that lol i dont mind answering them anywheres even though it doesnt matter to me either way. only reason i have even replied is because i was brung into the BS somehow. i mean seriously it doesnt matter to me who believes im not with these idiots because for 1 i know im not and thats all that matters.2 i dont sell or breed snakes so no one has to worry about if id sell them something bad or try to scam them or something. i just buy one here and there if i like and want it for my pleasure of having. i am just a very small personal collecter. i am a BUYER not a SELLER or BREEDER.

i use live by as in not that far from it about an hour tops. i just like alot of other people do not say where they exactly live on the internet most just say live by. i only have diclosed my actually place of stay is due to this B.S. NOT THAT IT MATTERS CONSIDERING I DONT SELL SNAKES OR BREED THEM SO WHO HAS TO WORRY? and if read properly it states that i know several people that does know them meaning someone i have talked to or a friend that has in the past bought or tried to buy from them and told me how they are and what type of scum they are. as far as knowing them i have spoken to jay over the phone and seen them at the show. only seeing faces and still not knowing which is jay. i seen the myspace pictures and said yes they which ever one is suppose to BE jay that it is them. if you look at the times you will aslo see and an earlier post of this issue that i said there was a jay in miamisburg ohio that sells snakes and thing but i dont know if it is the same one in question as to the people on here. then i asked for the pic. once i saw them i said yes that is them. i mean im not sure what you're wanting or looking for in this reply so i dont know how to answer this. if it is just to try to pick away at bits and pieces to see if im connected to these people then go right ahead because liek i said several times i dont care either way. im not here to sell snakes im not a breeder i am a buyer.

Come on by brother! we will have some fun.

About these guys. I know of the guys that set up at the Dayton show. I met them the first show there. I did not do this past show as everyone knows a business needs a show to make money not go into the red. The last show I basicly paid him for me to stand around and talk to other breeders that went that I know.

These guys were set up there and looked at my 50% het Lav albino males and I almost traded one for a gecko they had I wanted. But he said he was not into snakes. lol who knows.

I almost just bought the geckos but he would not move on price even if I bought them all. So I passed.

I will not deal with them at all now that i have seen their true colors. I have not seen them at the Columbus or Cleveland show. They may walk around though and I just see to many faces to remember lol. I would be sure to let the Hampers know about them if I ever seen them vending.

There is no room in this hobby for liars and for selling normals as hets.

When you meet them in person they seem on the up and up.

Also if anyone wants to know I am me let me know lmao..... Just playing.

I was going to say... I am from Ohio and I would like to think I am known as an honest person. But I am not from Dayton either I am from the North west area. Right outside Toledo.

Som need to learn when you are honest there is no story to remember it is just so much easier lol.

Not all Ohio breeders are bad.
 
you're exactly right gary. im not (in) dayton either just have spoken and seen the guys and heard alot of bs about them from friends/fellow herpers. im not even a breeder. my reptile area/ supposively breeding/scamming area lmao

I havent had a chance to read the whole thread.... but Im working on it... so this may have already been covered.

so what your saying is you got scammed by this guy... however you still are not willing to put his info out there to help someone else avoid the same situation.

If this is the case it leads me to believe that:

a) This other guy may be a partner and you dont want to compromise him
b) There was no other guy

I can guarentee that if I got scammed I would be plastering his name all over the place.
