In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I thought I would finally post a pic of some babies we have hatched.
The albino hatched 15 days before the clutchmate....what an odd pair!
From an Albino Jungle Giant to a Normal Jungle het for Albino....

Looks like you got a giant atleast. Show us updates on the "snow" for sure!

I incubate for female at 80 degrees. This clutch apppeared in a tank where I had put a female for some time alone away from her mate. She needed to regain some weight. I found the eggs in her hide under her heat lamp....I incubated for female but figured they may have had a day or two at high temps....so that ALbino is probably a male...
I hatched out two more "snows" from this pairing. It will be interesting to see how much of their white they maintain....

and for more oddity...

Here is an updated of the "snow" and her albino clutchmate...along with two more "snows" a neat jungle and a good ole' normal....all from the same parents....(jungle and normal from same father but different mother)

she looks like one and was one heck of a alot cheaper too....I plan on holding them and anymore that pop out till they are much much older, just to see when they yellow up and if...

That is definately strange. Can't wait to see what happens with them. Keep us posted

Those are awesome Shannan, those "snows" are very interesting and can;t wait to see updates on them!

Those are all definitely worth getting excited about. Looks like daddy's het for more than albino. Thanks Shannan, looking forward to updates.

Shannan,
I know you must be running out of room with all those hatchlings running around. I have no problem taking one of those snows in, just to help you lighten the load.
:hehe:

Tony

P.S. Nice looking leos!!!!

Wow, everyone has been so helpful in offering to help make room by taking those "snows"......:)
It is funny. I inspect them everyday to see if they are yellowing up....and hoping they don't.
The parents came from Sam at Gecko Den....I don't think he ever bred them with each other....bet he wishes he did now.....if they stay that white.

Tony, will you be at the Hamburg show on the 6th? We will as a venodr!

And a question about the three "snows"
If they maintain their white, are they snows?
If they yellow a bit, are they snows?
I was looking around and I see so many light yellow to obviously yellow Leos being labeled as snows....to me, if it isn't true white, it isn't a snow...it is a pastel. What are the guide lines on it. I expect these three to color up a bit as my luck is never good...certainly not good enough to have three snows pop out of nowhere.
If bred to a pastel or "snow" male, would they throw "snow" babies.
I just really don't understand all the co-dom -vs- line bred -vs-Mack-vs-Super snow differences....

If they are true Mack Snows, you will know by breeding them to any other gecko and you will get 50% Mack Snow babies and 50% normals.

If they are line Bred snows, you will know because when you breed them to normals you will get normal looking babies with maybe a little more white than normal. If they are line bred, then you should breed them to other line bred snows to make nicer line breds.

Ok, that was my crappy take on Genetics...LOL

Okay, so far I am following your explaination alot better the most!
So why are there Leos being sold as snow that are yellow? Is it becuase if they are bred with a true snow they throw snow babies? Or...well...that part still confuses me...

They are just called Snows because that is what the first person who bred them decided to call them, and then when John Mack made his he called them the same thing. Just, 1 is line Bred and one is genetic.

There are different grades of "Line Bred Snows" (Not Mack Snows), ranging from C Grade to A+ Grade, A+ having no Yellow or almost no yellow and C Grade having more yellow (But less than Pastels). Breeding line bred Snows is like breeding Tangerines, by breeding one Snow to another Snow with less yellow, the babies will have less yellow.

Mack Snows are C0-dominant Snows. When you breed a Mack to any Leopard, you will get 50% Mack Snows, and 50% Normals.

Here is my Line Bred Snow, I would consider it a B+
