• Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

do those little curley-q's ever straighten out?
I'll guess yes, since they weren't in the first pic you posted of him.
Is he as small as he looks?

Yes those curls straighten out. I handled it for a few minutes this morning and it appears to be completely normal other than being very small and the weird pattern. Most of the babies weighed in at about 33 to 41 gr. This one topped the scales at 20 gr. He seems to be doing ok despite his size. It explores its enclosure and drinks water. I am waiting for it to shed so I can see if it will eat...

Most of them will probably take f/t rat pinks before they shed, if you are inclined to try. Nothing wrong with waiting, though, just to be sure.

I thought he looked a lot smaller. Hopefully all is well internally - his back end looked a bit distended in the first pic (of this thread). Awesome looking little guy, I wish you the best of luck with him (her)...Is the wife going to let that one stay? (or are you going to tell her it didn't make it & keep it stowed in the closet)

He/she is a cute little fellow. I would have a hard time parting with him :D Are you going to keep him "for a little while" to see him grow???

Once the wife found out it might be an unusual one, she decided it can stick around for a while...:shrug01:.

I thought it looked a little weird too but it seems to have nothing wrong with it now. I have a ft rat pup in with all of them now. I will post pics if it eats....

I must agree ron, he is a cute little guy!! :)
