Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am leaving for New Olreans tomorrow even if it hits west I am still closer then NJ Was contacted as a first responder so I will be landing around 3:30 .. I just been home a little over a week and off again... Again if anyone would like to help out that be great... With being in Iowa and IL for 2 months I spent a lot and didn't have time to put cash back in the bank... Email is [email protected] have no clue how long I will be need its up in the air right now. Will post updates Thanks again those who help out when I was in Iowa...

Stay safe over there. Gustav is predicted to be a cat 4 at landfall....
 
Thanks Rich .... My flight leaves at 1 and hasn't been cancelled yet airport is suppose to close at 6pm. Looks like the west bank is going to take the blunt of it not like the east bank like katrina.. Hopefully with the mandatory evac its not going to be a s bad as Katrina but people still leave there pets... If I can get in to east New Olreans someone just chained there dogs in the back yard and left .. I am a little nervous with being there when the storm hits but its going to be impossible to get in the city after .. Everyone keep the people of LA and gulf in there thoughts and prayers .. Also like I posted if anyone can help out with just a little bit it can help so much ... Wish me luck

Take care. It will be difficult getting in as all highways have been declared outbound as of the mandatory evacuation. Here is what one news story said:
"Nagin suggested that even emergency responders might not be safe from Gustav, which claimed more than 80 lives in the Caribbean as the storm intensified into a Category 4 hurricane."
You are a courageous person to face a storm like that. Take care and return safely.

Actually they have downgraded the forecast on the sustained winds to 135mph, and the IR radar looks like the storm has become disorganized a bit. The well formed eye that was there before it crossed Cuba is gone, and hopefully will not reform to intensify the storm. Still, it's not going to be aby picnic in New Orleans Monday morning. Debris flying around at 135mph is nothing to laugh at.
