I am very hesitant, but here goes...
I would like to introduce myself to the board. I used to lurk, and occasionally post on the old BOI. I have the great dissatisfaction of telling you my parents chose to name me "Jeremy Clarke". If you are not laughing or calling your lawyer right now, then you probably don't know, that happens to be the same name used by a semi-illiterate scam artist who defrauded members of the herp community out of (tens of?) thousands of dollars years ago. I AM NOT that person. I have references in the herp community who can vouch for me, but I have done most of my buying and selling through Dan Klopson, a close friend who is getting a good rep in the boa community. I sold snakes last year under the name "California Reptile Co" or "CalRepco" to a number of people (and only signed my name on the emails after the final purchase). I will likely be changing the company name back to "Nor Cal Reptiles" to avoid confusion with a seller out of North Hollywood who seems to have had that name before me. I would have loved to have gone with "Jeremy Clarke's Serpents" but am sure that would be marketing poison.
I was told there was an inquiry on me on the BOI so I thought I would reacquaint myself with the fine folks at faunaclassifieds. I used to follow the soap operas in the old BOI and my biggest nightmare is to be associated with anything like that.
I guess what I am saying is...Can I have my name back??
