In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok, what gives....

I just went through like 6 pages here on Fauna and also searched through KS and a few other sites and I can't find not ONE single normal BP, what's up with that? Is there not any normals left at all, what are people doing with them? :shrug01:

I love BP's I want another now that Willow is gone, was hoping to just adopt or take in a rescue but humm where to find?

Amanda

There are numerous normals in our classifieds, but many are included in ads with other snakes. I'm sure the same is the case at KS. Your wording makes me wonder if you are not seeing them, or just not seeing them being given away (since you specifically mentioned adoption and rescue)...but the freebies wouldn't normally be placed in the classifieds, anyway.

Oh, and btw, to the readers - this is not the classifieds, so please don't make offers in this thread.

No, I would pay for it, doesn't matter either way.. That's why I was looking for normals. If I wanted a fancy, special, popular, morph I'd go buy one, BUT I would rather take one in that needs a home, one that is unwanted, or rescues..

And I def. didn't want anyone making offers here, I was asking where the normals went and if anyone could point in the direction of where some might be.

Have you tried craigslist? That's where all the unwanted animals end up advertised around here. Almost all of my rescues are CL kids.

I sold all my normals locally, and I don't think I ever needed to put them up on here. I prefer to do it that way since I can actually meet the person that I'm selling my snake to.

I'm sure if you put a call out for "Wanted: A Normal Ball Python" you'd get a lot of responses. Of course, weeding the good apples from the bad then becomes a challenge. ;-)

Thanks guys!

No I have never messed with Craigslist, was there once years ago is all..

And yeah it may be a challenge..

And we do have a pet store about an hour or so from us and I was in there about 6 months ago before willow died and they had a baby normal for like $70..

I just miss Willow I guess, some day another one in need will come along..

I don't advertise normals online because shipping makes them expensive...shipping usually costs me $50-$70, so that makes the total cost more than what most people want to pay. It seems to work out better to sell normals locally, unless someone wants to add them to a purchase they are already making.
