I just had one of my female cresteds lay a pair of eggs in the same container i use all the time. However, i used a new incubator case (A plastic shoe box like another one i use). After two days, i have noticed a small amount of mold around the eggs, like some type of very spindly white fibers.
( Its not very much but obviously there is something wrong.) (Oh, and i had some fruit flies in my room before but there gone now. im wondering if it had to do with anything either?_)
Another thing is that I usually use coco fiber mixed with vermiculite for the bedding of the egg laying case but since i couldn't find any around i used peat moss. Is that the main reason or what?
(the two last pictures are some crested hatchlings I've raised, 2 outta 4 of them)
