    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Why doesn't this site get rid of all the old sale/trade listings etc.? Some of these ads are like crazy old...
 
You never know when one will be relevant to something else current. I personally like that old ads/posts are not automatically deleted. Everything is right there to follow and review.
 
One of the biggest reasons is that the search engines pick up those ads and direct traffic to the site. We do make an effort to close ads and remove the attachments once they're a year old. As you can imagine, it is a tedious chore; and people posting to 3-8 month old ads brings them up to the top (changes their placement) so they get missed during checks.

Of course, it is appreciated when members manage their own ads...but a lot of people can't be bothered.
