    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm not prancing center stage I've been mostly absent from this thread for quite some time -- there are at least a half dozen people on this thread that post 10 posts to my one. :rolleyes:

I'm not a spokesman for Toni any more than you are for Debbie - I simply mentioned that due to Toni's health she won't be seeing Debbie's stupid little ultimatum but if she'd like to act like a grown up and contact Toni she might be able to work stuff out. She knows what was agreed to and she needs to live up to it. Irregardless of what anyone on this forum thinks is right or fair or should be done -- she agreed to it and should live up to her word. :yesnod:

*cough* Very interesting that Tosha bad mouths the BOI for "personal" attacks quite a bit, but takes every opportunity to name-call Debbie in this thread. Amazing, coming from someone who has no stake is this transaction. Simply amazing.
 
As a totally neutral party,yet an interested one....I think Felicia's post sums it up pretty well. It does seem Tosha is quite active in both the defense of Toni and the hurling of accusations at Debbie. This obvious bias just cancels her out.

I previously stated that I believe that Debbie should,and has offered a refund. There is no merit to killing that snake. If it should pass naturally,then by all means,get a necropsy done,or if it should take a turn for the worse,well then euthanize and then perform the necropsy.

This thread has gone on way longer,and the fact that possibly the OP is not doing well physically only complicates matters,as far as resolution is considered.I hope you get well Toni. I can honestly say I disagree with the stance you are now taking,but wish you a speedy recovery. Hope this gets resolved soon,and amicably if possible.
 
I just noticed that I'm the only member of fauna who hasn't been a part of this thread yet. I've read most of this and don't see what's so complicated.

Keep snake = lose refund.
Return snake = get refund.

Keep snake, get refund = scam.

Tosha go away = much less :deadhorse

Seems simple enough to me. Maybe we should start a fund for the mystery vet bills, but if that snake is STILL being boarded and accumulating charges, well.....that's just plain stupid.

I have been reading it as well.
Simply SEND IT BACK (ALIVE), and GET THE REFUND. No need to kill the poor girl.
Is it that difficult? Why be stubborn and insist on keeping and putting down the animal just because the seller previously said it would he ok [when IBD was a possibility but has since been ruled out]?

Tosha, Now who's spinning the truth? How is you being the #2 poster in this thread make other posters total 10X the number of posts you have made? Seems that your perspective of what is the truth and what is right or wrong is askew. :shrug01:

Debbie is attempting to make good on her word, and has proved it with pics of the refund money. Just because she wants the snakes back now, she's not keeping her word? I don't see anywhere in her terms of service where it states "in the event of a problem, you keep the supposed problem animal AND get a refund." Do you? If so, please link me to it? You keep wanting to bash the BOI and the people that don't agree with your way of thinking. You can keep holding Toni's hand and become her best friend for all I care, but I don't think you should be throwing stones around here. Especially when this post and the people here have done a pretty good job IMO of helping resolve this dispute. I'm starting to wonder if maybe YOUR influence might be a contributing factor to this transaction not being resolved.
 
I've read this entire thread and I'm still not convinced that there is anything wrong with the snake. The pictures Toni posted don't prove a thing. I think there needs to be 100% confirmation that there is something wrong with the snake. Why not post a short video on You tube of the way the snake is acting?

I'll save Toni's spokesppl the time in typing out a reason as to why Toni can't post more definite proof........Toni doesn't have a video camera and doesn't know a single person who has a phone with video capabilities....yep that's the likely excuse we'll get.

Not wanting to return the snake = scam to me. You'd think she'd jump on that $1500 refund and get rid of the alleged "dying" snake and the alleged vet bills it's racking up. What business refunds your money but you get to keep the merchandise? :shrug01:

Oh and I've worked at hospitals for several years now and hospitals don't keep pts for weeks and weeks. They get them in and out ASAP. (Heck most ppl are out in 4-5 days after having open heart bypass surgery). I think Toni is using illness and hospitalization as a smoke screen (Isn't that in the scammer's handbook posted somewhere on this site?) until she can think up a better way to scam Debbie out of $1500 AND keep the snake.
 
And there has never been any proof of vet bills or tests being done on the snake. why aren't those posted?

The only thing that Toni has proved is that she received a live ball python.

Before anybody else joins in, there is absolutely no reason to close this thread. Of course, right now, this sort of seems like a cartoon of a dog chasing a cat in a circle. After a couple laps around the yard, the cat jumps up on the fence...and watches the dog continue the chase by himself. :rolleyes:

I know what you're talking about here and it's only making you and Toni's insistance on Toni getting to keep the snake look like bad guys here. Debbie mentioned once that Toni could keep the snake near the begining of this situation because she believed that perhaps Toni had contaminated the animal in question and didn't want it in/near her collection. She has since then, I'm guessing, come to here senses and realizes she jumped the gun and perhaps with what she was going through at the time just said it because she was a little frustrated. This does nothing to Debbies "word" in my book, however Toni's stance on keeping the snake seems like she's trying to get something for nothing. :NoNo:

What "word" isn't Debbie keeping and what "blindingly obvious" items have you been pointing on in your overabundant amount of posts?

The original terms were that Debbie would send a replacement animal. Toni declined. At that point, all bets were off and there was no choice but to renegotiate a new outcome to this situation. Throwing in your two cents about "Toni already said she wasn't going to accept your new deal" is ridiculous. Debbie had no choice but to create a "new deal".

Debbie also requested vet confirmation of the snake's illness. No confirmation has ever been provided (sorry but that letter doesn't cut it).

Toni agreed to accept the $1500 right here on this forum with the addition of "as for the vet bill and the rest I cannot say we will be settled after that but certainly we agree on the refund as stated numerous times."

Now (according to you) Toni refuses to accept the $1500, refuses to provide proof of any illness or heck even any testing that has been done and will not return the animal to anyone.

All the while she has spread information leading those not following this thread that Debbie possibly has something HORRENDOUS in her collection. If I were Toni, I don't think I'd be so concerned with the outstanding vet bills of an animal that was supposed to be euthanized months ago and more worried about a potential counter-suit from Debbie for libel.
 
OK, here’s my latest update.

It is now Wednesday, May 20, 2009 – ONE MONTH from when I first posted pictures of the MO’s I’ve purchased for Toni. I’ve still not heard one word from Toni. She has my phone number, my email address – and still, nothing.

She was specific on this forum in asking me to not contact her privately, and to post everything here on this forum, which I have done. I’ve offered her a replacement, which was what SHE initially requested – she stated she no longer wanted that. I’ve offered a refund, which she requested and accepted the offer of (and I’ve taken and posted photos to show said MO’s), and I’ve heard nothing. She has never contacted ME to state that she no longer wants said refund (if that is the case.) She is aware of the MO’s, as she has posted about them in other forums. Posting a deadline seems appropriate after an ENTIRE MONTH has gone by, Toni is aware of the offered refund, posts about it on other forums, and continues to not contact me. In this day and age, I just have to think that SOME communication SOMEHOW could have taken place in the span of this last month, if she wanted resolution. How long am I supposed to wait for closure? How much more thrashing do I take? :shrug01:

I’m certainly human, and realize that I could have done some things differently initially *smackself*. I can only apologize for letting my emotions and my circumstances at the time dictate my judgment. I’ve tried my best since to be accommodating to Toni’s requests, as well as trying to stay respectful. At some point, I just think I get to have the opportunity to get back on the horse and ride on, you know?
 
It's hard for me to believe that this snake:

I weighed my 08 baby balls which are about half that size and they weigh between 215 and 256 grams.

Makes you wonder what snake Toni took to the vet. Yep she took A ball python to the vet but I doubt it was THAT ball python.

Debbie do you have any weights on that snake before you sent it?
