I just had one of the worst days ever, and finally decided to get it off my chest.
Going to start off my day and run some errands, the town I live in isn't very large so doesn't take much to get everything, I stop by the autoparts store pick up some things and head off to work. As I am leaving the parking lot there is a grinding sound, I don't think much of it since I have a lot of ice build up, start up the road and immediately can tell that its not the ice. I pull over and fast scan all the tires and under car dint see anything obvious. So I think I will get the car home and get my truck. Going home is less than a mile, I turn down my street which is maybe 75 yards total and the car kinda stops. I get out and the front wheels are pointed different directions. OK this isn't good. I got a car in the middle of the road broke down. I walk the sort distance to my house and get my truck. With the help of the neighbor I chain up the car and tow it the 60 or so yards to my driveway.
OK car is in driveway, I stop the truck unchain and am going to pull forward so I can leave the car till later to deal with. Start forward and put my foot on the brake......and to use the words of an old song, "the pedal goes right to the floor and just stays there, kinda like steppin on a plum". Well I now get to have a front row seat as said truck hits the garage breaking all my new siding and screwing up the door.
This is not good, get on the phone call the tow and get the car to the shop. Truck I can't drive but figure only one vehicle in the shop at a time. OK cars are kinda done for the day. I open the mail box and have a nice official looking letter from the high school. I find out my 18 year old not only has decided to fail 3 classes but has blown off several detentions that will pretty much cause him to fail all the rest of his classes. Seems he got it in his head that he can take a GED and doesn't need high school.
Well that was my day, actually that was my day till about 1:00PM. Now I see the advantage of the Amish life. But then again I wouldn't have fauna.
