In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Got a phone call about 30 min ago from my mom. My 17 yr old brother is in the hospital right now cause he decided to take my brother Jeffreys car and wrap it around a telephone pole. Apparently while mom was grocery shopping with Jeff, Danny got bored and decided to take Jeff's car over to a friends house where everyone was drinking tequila. While on his way home he ran off the road hit a construction sign and smashed into a telephone pole. Car is totalled and Danny is pretty beat up but in stable condition. The cops told mom they are amazed he is still alive. The impact threw him into the back seat which is probably what saved his life. Mom said they have pictures of the scene and as soon as I get them I will post them.
Danny will probably be going away for awhile since he was drinking and driving without a license. They are debating whether to file charges for car theft.

Anyone want to walk in my shoes for a week or so? I would love a vacation right about now.

That's terrible. Why oh why do kids always think that:
1: They won't get caught and
2: Nothing bad will happen to them?

I hope is going to be okay.

((((MIKE)))))) you are going through some awful times now, I would be very upset if all of that happened within my family.

Mike-

You are in my thoughts and prayers my friend. As is your Bro. Perhaps it would be good for him to be away for awhile at this point. Good luck.

I hate too admit it but I think some jail time might do Danny some good at this point.

He could have killed himself and even someone else. That alone scares me to death. My uncle came and picked up my mom and brought her to his house to calm down and relax. This situation with Danny was not doing her health any good. The last thing I need is for her to get worked up and have another heart attack.

Mike, I am so sorry you are having more troubles and I am glad he is only beat up but stable. You surely don't need another few weeks of hospital worry like you had with your mom.

I hope he heals up well and gets the help he needs, not sure if Id want the jail time, there are some really bad kids in the juvi lock down and Id be afraid he would learn more bad than good.

Is this his first "stupidness"? Or he is usually on the egde of doing things like that?

My Grandmother once told me...

"God never gives you any more than you can handle."

I told her, "Maybe so, but sometimes he comes awful damn close!"

Hope things work out better for you soon.

Mike, Keep you chin up, it will all be okay.
I have lived through two teens that had really bad cases of "stupid".
One had to go to State boot camp twice before she saw the "light".
It made our lives really scarey for a while but now at 22, she seems to have
found out that she is not imortal.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Aw Mike....so sorry to hear you've got yet more trouble. Just don't let yourself get too worked up about things (yeah, I know, easier said than done), but you have to remember that you aren't any help to anyone if you worry yourself sick. Keep your chin up, things have got to get better.

*hug*

Ok i totally agree, sometimes life throws stuff at ya that brings you right to the edge of losing it completely!

Mike: nothing i can say will make things better but i offer up lots of hugs and my prayers for you and your family. take it one day at a time.

Red :)

Mike, I just caught wind of this thread. Hang in there man. I hope everything works out for the best.

I'll pray for you, but God (the god of my understanding) is already on your/his side. He's lucky, one of my good friends died not too far back because of a wreck. I sure hope he doesn't get charges pressed against him. I'd say he's had enough, everyone.. EVERYONE.. makes mistakes, some just turn out worse in the end.

You know, this kinda got me to thinking....my nephew had similar trouble when he was that age.....it took having a bad wreck to really wake him up. He ended up deciding to join the military (of course, this was in peace time, although he did his time in Iraq, the whole Shock and Awe thing, he was there firing missiles) because he knew he had to get himself sorted out, or things would just get worse....and he knew he had no choice but to straighten up in the Army, lol. But my point is he DID wake up, unfortunately it took a bad accident to do it.....but he got himself sorted out after that, and is one helluva fine young man now. The kinda guy I'm proud to have my kids look up to, ya know?

Things WILL get better.....just keep your chin up, and take good care of Mom. :) Still keeping you all in my thoughts.
