• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

opinions, please...important (to me)

A little late on finding the thread, but blindness was my first thought too.
As far as "just having white eyes", white eyes is not white pupils. Many Savu pythons have more or less white eyes, one of their characteristics I like the best, but it's the "eyelids" since I don't recall the proper term for them, not the pupils themselves. Just as certain retics have those striking orange eyes.
A white or cloudy pupil to my knowledge only occurs as a result of some problem, blindness, infection etc.

Sounds to me as if the seller either lacks basic knowledge about the condition or hopes that you do.

Well, that tomorrow didn't end up including a trip to the pet store for live mice...and she refused another offering of f/t. Looks like Monday will bring live mice (tomorrow, if I can't sleep AND get ambitious...not a likely combination, lol). This will get old fast, but in all likelihood I'm stuck with her. I just don't see me selling her under the circumstances.

well - I neglected to go mouse shopping (again)....BUT, she did take two f/t mice left in with her. She has the typical female coloration, as evidenced in the pics, but the male has retained alot of his orange - I'll post pics after he sheds

Your snake looks like it has retained eye caps. if you kept the shed skin, check to see that the spectecal scale came off with the shed. if it didn't, then i suggest giving the snake a warm bath for fifteen minutes and see if there is any improvement. if the spectecal did stay with the shed skin, then get your snake to a vet to find out if this is cataracts.

Well in my opinion it is not eye caps. The cloudiness is inside the eye. Some type of chemicals could be the reason for this. Just a guess.

it definitely is not retained eye caps (I guess I should have made that clearer before)
