Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. One of these cards is going to the printer this week. I want you to help me decide which.

I'd go with the purple with white letters, the content is easily read and the black negative space at the bottom is an effective design element. In the green one bits of the information is lost in the darker background regions.

Second choice would be the blue background, again, the negative space works well and the content is easily read. THough in that one I would change the First bit of text from black on white to white on black as you have in the letkyleos portion, just pops a little more.

See... and my Dad said my Bach. of Fine Arts would be useless! lol
 
I like the purple with white letters. It seems to stand out more than the others.
 
I like the blue one the best. The geckos “pop” out more. The purple and white letters is also nice but I still would say blue.
 
Alrighty, I still like the purple w/ black letters. 2nd choice is the blue. I say we all drive the printers nuts and get business cards! I just ordered mine...red background, purple letters w/ a great pic of a red eyed tree frog on it. $69 for 1000, if I like 'em I'll order more. I like lots of color! :wavey:

If it is the color orange that you are trying to bring out, then blue should be your background color. If it is the golden/yellow color you want to bring out, then purple should be your background. On the color wheel, orange and blue are complimentary colors, while yellow and purple are complimentary colors.

Personally, I like the look of the first example with the black across the bottom, but the background color should be blue instead of purple.
 
Given my recent run-ins with the color purple, I might be a bit biased... but I think I like the Blue one best. The green one is a little harder to read, otherwise that'd be my second choice--so the green one moves to third. My second choice would be the solid purple one (no black bar at bottom) but I think a white bevel or shadow might help set it off the background a little. Just my opinion, ... but overall I think they're all AWESOME!! Makes me want to hurry up and do my own :cool:
 
I like the blue one the best because it complements the colors of the geckos better. But I agree with Marcia that the design of the first one is the best-looking. It's very bold and makes your contact information easy to read. Any way you could redo that design in blue?

I disagree with everyone...lol I like the GREEN one...it looks cool and i really like how the colors look all together...lol
 
Jeremy - I like the new blue one you made, but try adding a black shadow to the white lettering like there is in the original purple one. I think the blue background is also lacking the bold black highlights that the purple one has. Maybe you could try making a blue version of the purple background in the first card?
 
I like the new one too! I orginally voted for the purple one, because as a business card, it was layed out and easy to read. If you can do the exact same design but in blue (keeping about the same darkness, ect), I think it'll be all good =)
 
Ditto. I like the new blue one too. Like Olivia said the text over the blue needs a shadow. I think after that it will make it magnifico!
 
I voted for the purple with while letters but like the blue with white better. I just did not get to that part until after I voted. Between the two blues, I like the top one best. It is easier to read and not too busy. It all flows together nicely and the eye easily flows across all the information taking it all in as one unit. It seems as if I have to work too hard picking out the Leos on the second card and don't even see your info until I go back to specifically look for it. Like my eyes only want to look at one aspect of the card at a time and not take it in as a whole unit. Hope that makes sense to you.
 
i definatly like the second blue one with the thinner black strip on bottom, it looks like the best one so far to me.
 
I like the first one, bottom black strip with white letters, its makes your contact info stand out more. The second one seems to have too much 'things' going on in one card, so, I like the first one: simplier = better...?
 
Although my favorite colors are green and purple, I have to say I like the first one in your last post
 
I like the 1st one is the last post too but the leo on the right looks odd, looks like it is stretched out or something, maybe its just me but the head looks way to narrow.
