Fresh Spinless Cactus. Just hand picked today. New spring growth and 2010 growth picked today.
We believe our spinless cactus pads is one of the best food items for Uros, Skinks, Turtels, Tortoise, Iguanas, beardies, Any veggie loving animal. Even can be used as a feeder insect food. Our breeder Dubia colonys love these. And they dont atract the fruit fly nats like a oranges do. High in calcium and fiber while being low in protein and fats. Our spinless Cacuts has a long shelf life compared to most produce, and is not wet on the exterior, so it doesn't stick to the substrate like many vegetables and fruits do. It is best kept in the refrigerator after arrival, and can keep several weeks or a couple of months (or until it starts to look bad). Keep in a freezer style bag in the crisper for freshness .
The exact pad count per box is variable because of differences in size of each pad. Some pads can be well over 1 pound each. Others can take 10 small pads before reaching 1 pound. Our cactus is grown here in Granbury, Texas. And hand picked by my husband and I.
We offer pick by order for a limited time. We pick once a week.( Can pick for you if you want a certin amount or kind of pad). During the season. We can offer last year growth almost year around.

Last years Growth: Pads a larger, thicker. More tuff. But can be eatting by most animals too. Same benefits to the new growth. (Fresh picked this year)
