    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You are so right Heather... Thats what I was trying to say in a round about way. She just doesn't get it Thats what is getting me frustrated. A simple sorry I screwed up and an apology to Brian would have gone a long way.

I think Brian should be lucky he even got a dead snake. She seems so ignorant and oblivious to good herp keeping that she could have easily mistaken and packed a shoe lace for shipment to the poor guy.
 
Well I just got back from fishing. Caught myself a big lingcod and a sea trout.
Took me a while to read all the posts. She is right in the sense that she offered me the $300 or the snakes back, but I figured since she had the bicolor hog, she had other animals that maybe she was willing to give up instead. I didn't want my snakes back, cause then I would still be out for shipping and I would have been better off just keeping the snakes. If I get $300 I am still out the $80 for shipping. She mentioned the 1.1hogs, which is what I am into and I asked her if she would give them up. She told me that her female was gravid and she didn't want to ship her until she laid her eggs. I said no problem. If she would have paid for shipping the dead hog I would have, but nothing to the notion was mentioned. As for shipping my snakes back she made it clear that she wasn't sure when she was going to ship them.
 
And you are ok with that? What is next week she fancies another Boa and Decides you can wait. Will that be ok. She has already proven she is irresponsible and a liar. Hoepfully after reading this thread you may reconsider taking those animals back and just accept the case

Where are his ball pythons now? In your colony in the bedroom, or in the quarantine kitchen? If your new boa shows up next week, where will it be? The snakes that fedex dropped today, where are they?
 
I would be happy with $350 cash if she could ever afford it. With the way the email she sent me sounded it was as if she was never going to send them. I am not a breeder, but I have a 500sqft garage converted into a reptile facility and a 10x20 shed for breeding rodents, but I am not a breeder. Here is the email she sent me

I will send them as soon as I can. Not today. Maybe not next week either. I have bills this week to pay. My money is drained.
 
I wonder if she would ship on monday if someone paypalled her a loan to get her through til Thursday.

Look, just tell her that in light of the FACT she has no real effective means of quarantine, that you would not consider accepting those snakes back. Tell her to send you a refund for the $300 in a week or two. It'll be done and over before you know it.

I know you are out on the shipping costs, but just about everyone in this game has taken a hit like this before.
 
I haven't read the whole thread, but it sounds like the old "pull the snake out of the freezer and ship it" scam. Maybe it's just the "let's unload this before it dies" syndrome.
Either way it's low-life.

Have you apologised to Brain for any of this? you need to and you need to do it publicly just as you tried to publicly drag his name through the dirt.

Muffin you lied, you know it, we know it and it really pisses people off that you keep trying to cover your lies with more lies. How about this tell the truth and get Brain taken care of ASAP and wow things will get better.

You're upset over your kids and your house ETC ETC being brought into this, hey if it were me I'd be pissed to.. The thing is I would have made this right and it would never have gotten to this point where my family and parenting are brought into it.. Muffin here's what you do, do you own a credit card? if so open an account with FedEx, DHL or UPS and then set a pick up time for the package. They will come get it. They will at the end of the month hit your CC for the shipping cost. You ship the snakes in a timely fashion and don't have to pay till later.

Yeah for those that haven't yet figured out that she doesn't have an approved shipping account with FedEx to ship snakes, now you know.

One thing you really need to do is talk to Brian and find out for sure what he wants to do. He can ask for money and I don't blame him for that but when it comes down to it you just owe him his snakes shipped at your expense. If he is smart he will quarantine them but he should do that no matter who they were coming from.

Yeah Brian that might suck and you lose what you paid to ship them but that would have happened if she got them and decided she didn't like them and sent them back. Not all deals work and so sometimes you eat your shipping ..

Muffin you're not the first to get caught short and some of us here forget what it was like when we were young and didn't have what we do now. Be that as it may your customer should get more priority. If it takes you and your BF eating hotdogs and Mac and cheese the rest of the month so be it. Don't deprive your kids I wouldn't mine but get Brian taken care of and quickly.

For those who seem to be afraid to post here as alluded too by Muffin here , I imagine some of you come from the forum where this started. Look at how those two threads were going IE Muffin good girl and Brian Scamming bad guy. Now look at this thread, Sure Muffin has taken a beating but one she deserves. Here we have Muffin at best very questionable, Brian good guy who seems to be very understanding about all of this. Seems to me though it was rough here and yeah some things said shouldn't have been, the truth Came Out here. Funny how that can happen here.. Randy

This is not bashing at all, but I need to point out some serious issues you have with the way you keep you animals.

You keep them in your kitchen? The same place you store and serve your food to yourself and your family? Especially your small children? Look up the term "zoonosis". You wash your hands between handlings? Where? In the sink in your kitchen where you also wash your cooking and eating utensils?

Tell you what. If the local health department caught wind of that arrangement, you would be in very deep doo-doo. I STRONGLY suggest you get those animals out of your kitchen, PRONTO. Quarantine of new animals is the LEAST of your problems.
 
Don't worry about me quarantining them. That is an automatic first. Luckily my partner's sister in our rescue is a vet tech and has access to anything I need.
