In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

In your neck of the woods, Wal-Mart likely still carries them as "hand-warmers" in the hunting supplies area of the store.
Most Walmarts carry 3 packs of the 18 hours ones for $2.99 right next to the register in the sporting goods section as well as on the shelf near the Coleman outdoor items.

And temps in Brian's area look mild as well.

Monday, 14 April

Showers
High 50°
Low 38°

Tuesday, 15 April

Mostly Sunny
High 50°
Low 40°

In addition temperatures for Memphis, TN (FedEx hub) are going to be almost identical to those in the Knoxville area, low 50's maximum, and high 30's (almost 40) for a minimum.

Regards.

I think she is actually busy posting advice to us all on the other thread on how to avoid being scammed by people from other countries.

Which thread is this? Can you post a link?

Wow. I really just read all 110 pages. This had been entertaining to say the least. I agree with others, that I wouldn't want those snakes back. Her husbandry leaves A LOT to be desired and it's already been shown she doesn't know how to ship snakes. And to be honest, I doubt you'll ever see those snakes again. I'm looking forward to her next excuse...

The snakes have been shipped. The tracking number is 799306958571 ( it says for some reason on there delivery time expected at 4:30 but I sent it priority express mail, and when called they told me 10:30 so hopefully that's just a liability time and not the actually time. ) I took pictures of my packaging process and sent them to Brian along with the tracking info.

Hope they get there safely.
Diddo. I did everything you should do and can do to make sure they do get there safely. So lets hope for the best. I will be keeping an eye on the shipping till it gets there. I also plan on calling FedEx and stressing that it get there before 10:30 or by 10:30 despite them already telling me it should.

I'm glad that they appear to have been shipped. If the tracking number is saying it won't be there until 4:30; you could call and have it held at the facility and pick it up first thing in the AM just to be safe. Good luck with everything; hopefully tomorrow morning everything will be all worked out.

Well done Steph. Good job on the 40 hr pac too.

Since I raised it, and another member added some info, for those who might rely on Wal-Mart for heat-packs (hand warmers as sold), know that they are usually a seasonal product, and availability and specific product will vary based on your part of the country, time of year, hunting seasons, etc. I got that straight from Wal-Mart back in the day.

Right now they are in clearance (if you can find them anymore), look at the end of the hunting isle (or ask the employee). We have found them useful when shipping from cold to warm climates as they maintain the temperatures during the evening and night, and start to loose effectiveness upon arrival the next morning.

Regards.
