In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'll betcha $100 it doubles as spatula!!!

LOL!

I am glad you got your snakes back.

Sadistic Stephanie, I think it would be in your best interest to spend several years educating yourself about reptiles before you move forward with breeding. When ill-informed individuals rush into breeding it is ultimately the animals that suffer.

Perhaps you should find someone in your area who is knowledgable and volunteer your time working with them. Volunteering with a reptile rescue, or helping another breeder maintain their animals is a great way to learn from the experts.

Brian did she ever send you back the papers on the snake(s)?

How are both snakes doing?

How did there vet visits go?
Yes she sent back the paperwork. I got it yesterday. Both snakes are doing fine vet check went well. I just couldn't believe that she was keeping them on pine.
Both snakes are eating good.
One thing about ID is that there really isn't a test you can do until the snake dies and what Oukan doesn't realize is that boas can carry ID for a long time without showing symptoms. Her whole collection could be infected. Well anyway the balls will be quarantined until further notice. I will let everyone know if they start stargazing and tripping out.
I tell you what if there wasn't the BOI I would have never gotten my snakes back or anything for that matter.
Thanks everyone for your input, advice, and the comedy to go along with it.
Sincerely,
Brian Bauserman

The BOI is a very good thing for the herp world IMO.

I'm glad that she kept her word and sent you back those papers. Good to hear both snakes are doing well and all. I prey for both you and your snakes that they don't have any other hidden illness (ibd) from that idiot girl and her horrendous husbandry keeping methods!

I think you should thank Stephanie for the comedy. That's one good thing she brought to this thread. I'm glad you got your snakes back.

For future reference, its IBD, not ID :) Just getting the correct information out there.

if I am not mistaken, the cheapest test for IBD is to house a cheap ball python with a boa for a few months - the pythons seem to catch it quick and die (assuming the boa was a carrier)

Anyone want to volunteer sending some normal BP's to Dan Scolaro? LOL

Now she is checking out getting a viper boa. :ack2:
She can't handle the husbandry for BP's or a BCI. How the hell is she going to handle keeping a boa that is not in any way good for a novice? :shrug01:
I alos love how she is experienced switching hogs from toads to rodents.

She needs to get a betta and leave the snakes a lone if she wants an animal.

Even bettas are a harder to care for fish without the right water perameters!
Goldfish are pretty dang easy though, and live in just about any water conditions....

Guppies are quite nice. Easy to breed, hardy and they won't mind sharing a 20 gal with a giant Gourami.
