    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here is the beast that's taken all of my free time for the last few weeks.

Weather vane isn't here yet, but other than that I am calling it done. Linoleum floor, Hardie panels, 10 nest boxes, whole interior sealed....my wife better reward me a lot for this :D.

Here's the chicken door the girls will come out of. May build a solar-powered actuator to open/ close the door, but that's after I take a week off. That's not a chicken, it's a kick-me dog.

Here's the nest box hatch from the outside, so we can get eggs without going in.

Here's the roosting bar. We gotta figure out something to put below it to catch the chicken poop for the gardens and to sell on CL :).

And here's the nest boxes. 10 is a bit of overkill for 30 chickens. In our other coop, we have 7 layers and two nest boxes, but they all wait to use the same box to lay in.....they're weird. You can't really tell, but it hangs from lag screws on either side so it can be taken out and sprayed down. We just gave it a couple coats of Thompson's Water Seal.

There are a few other shots in my photobucket here. This was a plan from "Chicken Coops for Dummies" that I added some stuff to.

This is really my wife's obsession right now. She's gone and joined a forum and everything:eek:. We sell eggs, chickens we've raised, and soon we'll sell fertilized eggs and chicks of our own.

I must say ... any chickens that inhabit that Coop Deville will be some lucky ducks ... or clucks :D

Job very well done!

Dont know about "as cool as", but I do know your's was a whole lot cheaper to build.... at times I think I lost my mind when I think about all the $$$$'s that went into mine. Correction... I know I lost my mind.
