In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Cookie did it! She gave us our first calf born here this morning! A bull calf and he looks strong and healthy as far as I can tell! Woo Hoo!

He looks strong and healthy~ but not a drop of white on him. None at all.....
I bought her already pregnant and running with this bull...what are the chances he's the daddy if the baby has NO white on him?

Just a belted Galloway~ I don't know a lot about them but that they are supposed to be a good dual purpose breed (meat and dairy) and that I got an opportunity to buy Cookie for a good price and borrow that bull to use on my other two heifers (dairy cross heifers).

Borrowing the bull was a MUCH better deal than buying him~ and I'm hoping to keep him long enough to breed Cookie back in a couple months before I have to return him (if I ever figure out how to get him out of my pasture that is!)

Awe.. calving season... yeah, it is here... We have 100 head to calve out which wouldn't be so bad if the temps were up above 10 degrees!!! Which means we HAVE to be there when they are born. Lucky me.. I get the night shift!!!

I plan on getting a small group(5-10) of these when I get a little older and more well off, well when I get finished with college finally lol. Belteds are by far my favorites, amazing animals, good job!

I don't know for sure if she was exposed to any other bulls. I've had that bull here (borrowed him) with my other two heifers for 5 months now....and I've seen no indication of him actually breeding my heifers. And now I don't see much of him on that calf....I'm a bit concerned I've wasted 5 months trying to breed him to my heifers....

Oh well onto.....

NEW BABIES!!

This Stinkin cute little boy was born on Thursday to one of my favorite milking goats Letitia
The buckling (bummer he's a buckling~ he's stinkin cute!)

The buckling and his momma Letitia~ she is 50/50 Saanen Nubian...I love her and she's a great milker but she isn't the prettiest goat...

And this is the visiting goat I was calling "Taco" who is daddy~ you can see he certainly added some spice to the breeding!

I'm pretty bummed I only got one buckling~ I was hoping for a doeling to bring up and see what she looked like. At the very least I was hoping for TWO~ last year Letitia gave me Two bucklings. Oh well~ I am glad he appears to be healthy and he is Stinkin Cute!
