    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I contacted "Our Star Tortoises" in reagards to identifying a start tortoise that I received in trade from someone.  I was told it was a Sri Lanken but wanted to make sure one way or the other so that when I traded it or sold it, I could be sure of what I was selling.  The people there were VERY helpful in helping me confirm the identification as a Sri Lanken Star.  Their website is also very professionally done with complete detailed photos for each animal.  They look like a good business to me and have been posting on KS for at least 6 months now.  I have not bought from them but offer this experience and opinion to you....

I just purchased a gorgeous female Indian Star from Dina at Our Star Tortoises. Communication was great, packing was perfect, and the tortoise is healthy, heavy, and a good eater. She's even prettier than her picture on the web site. I'm certainly going to buy from them again!
