    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have heard of it and seen pictures of it but now I have experienced it.

My female jungle-corn ate herself. Well, partially.

NO there are no pictures.

I was dangling the mouse in front of her and dropped it. She went to strike at the mouse and missed, grabbed her own tail! I snatched her out of the tank and ran into the bathroom where the alcohol was as soon as it was apparent that she wasn't going to stop. She had at least 3 inches of her tail down her throat before I got the alcohol poured into her mouth. She immediately let go and I ran her head under the water briefly to get rid of the alcohol.

I rinsed her off and made sure her tail had quit bleeding then put her back down in her tank and HELD the mouse in front of her faced. She bit and constricted and ate it right down so I am not worried about her fearing the mice after what she went through. She's on her third mouse now and seems ok.

The kids wanted me to take a pic, but there was no way. I had to make sure she would be ok. It was quite memorable. Hope it never happens again.

At least you were there watching :) Glad she turned out OK!!

ive had snakes bite themselves in response to feeding, definitely one of the more humorous things they tend to do..... but then you gotta make sure they arent hurting themselves..
