    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

And for the last statement I find it very convenient that your "girlfriend" posted that picture. It is just as convenient as your made up permit story. Hopefully you dont think that anyone on here is fooled as to why this thread was started. In my opinion you need to sit back and reevaluate the situation if you plan on staying around in this hobby. I don't have it anymore I'm being very honest here.
Maybe If he wants to post pics of my stuff, I'll go to one of the shows and take pictures of all the dead animals and sick animals they sell. I'm asking nicely for you all to just drop it now it's just causing me stress. You're the reason why people don't want to post on BOI when they seriously need to.

If you paid for a permit it should be public record which you can recover. If you are stressed, think of how this seller is feeling when you painted him a bad guy merely for advertising a lizard you deemed to be too expensive

I do not know this seller at all. Do not know the quality of his critters. But that is not relevant to THIS Bad Guy post which seems, on its own merits, not to have adequate reason for being posted. If the reason you posted this was indeed because of the permit, then proof is easy. They might charge you five bucks or so for a copy of the records.

Simply log off and depart if the stress is unbearable instead resurrecting that worn out catchall phrase that every person uses that regrets or can't back up what they state.

I think the permit issue is minor to your original complaint. That said, it doesn't minimizes others ability to question on it. Some may think that if you can prove this point it would add some credibility. Others may think that you may be untruthful on this point and goes to show your credibility as a whole.

You did this after your original argument for this thread didn't merit with the majority of those responding.

So people went with what you are stating and asking for more details. You then followed with "I don't have to show it" then "it expired" then "I don't have it anymore"

You see, that simply makes people think you are being dishonest. They responded with questions and you have responded with name calling.

So either you provide proof or don't. It's that simple.
People will judge your statements for what they are.

No need for the name calling, or taking potshots at the site.
 
Devin, the reason you feel attacked is because you put these statements into a forum that can really make or break someone's reputation. If you just want to complain about prices, it belongs somewhere else, probably General BS, or HELL.

May I respectfully ask your age? Perhaps Josh was just speaking rhetorically, but if you really are 17, then you do not have an expired permit from the state of New York.

I have been following this for the last few days and have the following to throw in.

First off there does need to be some info or proof about what the scamming is going on. I have read about several bad animals but that doesnt mean that it was a scam. EVERYONE has a bad day here and there. If Josh is willing to write the wrong without trouble then he wasnt trying to scam anyone. Some people do care about there name over how much money they make.

BUT on the other hand I also see in this hobby lots of issues with some big wig name making a mistake and a new guy getting screwed because they weren't sure how to go about taking pictures or saving emails or something like that. I know we cant really take what someone says at face value but at the same time you have to atleast be able to listen to what they have to say. I my self have had issue that im not even interested in trying to deal with because the person was known around here and i didnt take the right steps in covering my behind.

Just some words for though. I do not side with anyone with out the full story and no one has given it yet. Yes the permit pic NEEDS to be posted but at the same time pics off someones face book do not. There is no reason but to keep people side tracked. I know everything now seems to be excuses but all of those who have had girls friends or wifes know how they like to make every animal look "cute". Even if it seems wrong its still not part of the main topic which is where we need to stay.

I'm truly flattered that you think I have such enormous power. In my experience, many reptile folks are outspoken, independent, smart and at times downright passionate about their feelings, their business, their hobby. Some of the over 73,000 members have made almost 400 posts just today.
I feel privileged to be a part of it, but control it? There is no way. People say what they need to say here, and I am just a member who believes in the site, and believes that the more you kick around a bucket containing facts and non-facts, the more likely it is that you'll get an idea of what really took place.
 
Could be wrong, but looked through all the permits. None of which stated that you could keep any as pets or sell either. The price is 10 bucks for the permit I believe he is claiming to have had, and if you would like the link to any of them please PM me. Do not know if I can post them here or not.
 
I think this kid has finally given up his fight. Is anyone receiving any private messages or anything form this Devin guy? If not, I think we could finally move on!! No more posts. Can anyone think of the last BOI thread that actually did what it was meant to do?! As I have said before, I don't like Outback Reptiles, but I'm my own man, one in who knows how many thousand that actually dislikes Josh and his company. Outback may very well be a great place to buy from, I wouldn't say it's not, that's why I threw in my 2 cents earlier, and never made a whole posting about them as this idiot did. I wouldn't attempt to ruin a companies reputation because the guy on the other end of the phone was having a bad day, nobody knows what's going on in each others homes right now! Even as we all sit here and type in this thread, I'm sure many of us are dealing with more important things. As far as the permit situation goes, I am never a fan of "snitching", so personally I'd just let the stupid kid go, but if he refuses to put a mature end to it, then GRILL EM! I figured, maybe being one of the newer members to faunaclassifieds, someone who hasn't yet been seen much(at least not yet), I would make this post and everyone can just think to themselves, who is this jerk and who asked his opinion, lol. Thats the beauty of free market. People can price whatever merchandise they want, whatever price they want. Its up to the individual to either realize its too much and not buy it or chance it and buy it. Usually, if merchandise is overpriced, and it doesnt sell, guess what, the price comes down. Welcome to American free enterprise. This thread was pretty worthless
 
Okay just looked at that pic in his ad, and can honestly say 90 percent of the painteds I have caught have a reddish plastron like that.
 
This is a really long thread considering no transaction even took place that relates to the OP's reason for posting.
Unless the photo of the animal is a total misrepresentation of the animal purchased, the price and color are irrelevant. (Did I mention no animal was purchased?) If a buyer wants to spend that much money, he should certainly do a bit of morph research, or not, but it's not the seller's problem.
