A bit more on topic, I've dealt with Outback Reptiles (i.e. the former J&J Reptiles)

Matt, Ian G and Outback have been around for a while. It is true that Josh has moved from Maine to Virginia to work for Outback but it is completely wrong to insinuate the J & J has changed it's name to Outback.

Thats correct yet Josh is working with Outback his wife will be handling things on J&J's end ..

Ok, I am gonna just duck out fo this. When Shane gets back he will post and explain what the deal is. I don't appriciate inflamatory posts. I am not a rescue org. but I do allow friends and neighbors to call me and I will rescue and relocate snakes. I do however keep a few here and there.

I have nothing against outback, Shane bought the snake I would have advised against buying anon feeder. I have tole him about the vet AND doctor I use for my animals. I Want to apoligize for my earlier post that cause any confusion. I remove snakes from houses, pools, sandboxes whatever and relocate them. I DO have WC animals but so do many other places including Outback as they do import export work

You are starting off a lot better now. Lets hope your friend or partner follows the same way. No one wants to make fun of you or your friend - so keep that in mind and respect the fact that you are dealing with a lot of folks who have been in this hobby and business for a long long time. They have seen and heard it all.

That said, and before I do your homework for you, is it legal for you to reproduce the eastern garters you are allegedly rescuing and offering the offspring for sale? I know in some states it is legal to have a certain number of WC specimens, but breeding them would put you over the legal limit. And in any case, the selling of wild caught animals often requires a commercial license to sell.

Not trying to hassle you. I'm happier that you two young lads are selling snakes to earn your popcorn and movie money rather than bashing car windows for stereos and speakers. Its just that you two may get yourself in the equivalent amount of trouble if your not taking the time to check what your state laws concerning such might be.

David Deem, which part of your brain are you missing? I know you are just 15, but how many warnings does it take to get it through your thick skull that we will NOT allow you to continue slandering Outback Reptiles. As far as I know your only connection with us is when you walk by our tables at Manassas gawking at our colubrids. I don't think you have ever bought anything from us. So what's the deal?

Ever since your little talk with Ian at the Manassas show a few months back where you and your friend Thomas apologized for your arachnoboards bullshit (your little quivering lower lip was almost cute, especially with that overbite of yours), instead of YOU trying to badmouth outback, it's suddenly 'friends' of yours with the same IP address who are coming up with poorly constructed stories of wrongdoing here on fauna. And who is always there to back up those 'friends,' only to immediately backpeddle and asskiss as soon as you realize outback employees are viewing the thread?

Enough people have already torn apart this poor excuse for a story, but I have a few more little tidbits to add.

You say that your friend is experienced with ball pythons... David, you were the one with the youtube video showing off all of your snakes in dirty aquariums in your bedroom with no heat, picking up snakes with gigantic Mice in their bellies ("I know I shouldn't be handling him after a meal.... But I will for this video"), bragging about your baby horned frog that you fed 8 pinkies at once, and freehandling rear fanged snakes that you "didn't think had very bad venom." I HARDLY think that you have any place to stand when it comes to assuring us that your friend knows what the hell he is doing.

Fish and Wildlife was already notified about your Mole Kingsnakes, black ratsnakes, eastern garter snakes, and northern water snakes for sale on your web site after you plucked them from the wilds of Front Royal. We really don't care if you catch a native species and keep it as a pet because you admire them (I myself have a few, of course under the legal limit for the species) but when you start trying to make a profit on our own native wildlife that already has it tough enough with all the new land development going on around here, it pisses me off.

Anyways, you need to quit it. We have let it slide several times because you are young and stupid, but enough is enough. Good luck getting into your beloved Manassas show. Show promoters dont take kindly when one of their biggest clients, who helps attract a large portion of the show attendants, gets badmouthed by some kid.

We are truly sorry that this Shane had a bad experience with us, but he took the wrong approach completely with this thread. That last part was a disclaimer accounting for the small chance that Shane is not David Deem.

Mike, I no longer have ANY connection to Thomas H. The Herald snake has the veom of a hognose, I am taking my adds down off my site and off this sit as I realize they are illegal actions. Shane bought from outback because of the good reports. Thomas had me convinced you were the sin of the earth. I soon realized that was not the case. Shane is a person. He is a ball python person. I am a colubrid person. Thomas and I are NO LONGER FRIENDS! WE NO LONGER TALK! Mike I am sorry for the stuff I said about Outback. This is SHanes thread. Not mine. I just added in. I am not bad mouthing you I am adding into a thread on a open forum. I like your booth. I m not bad mouthing you. I realize this thread is not a good one. Mike I talked with Ian and I told him I would not bad mouth outback. In fact when Shane went to the show he was gonna pick me up a pair of checkered garter snakes from Outback but he says he saw none. But next show I may well pick up a pair of them from you guys.

ok im back in town now. i realized the post was too early to tell if the snake is sick or not. i take responsibility and i was wrong on my part for jumping to conclusions too early. i was planning for a while now to buy from outback. I was looking for a baby pinstripe before i went to tee show. i have many ball pythons in my collection and i have had trouble similar to this. i will try my best to get this girl feeding. sorry for getting ahead of myself and posting the tread. im sorry to outback as well .

I was guaranteed that in 1-2 weeks it would feed.

If you have any experience with reptiles you know that nothing is guaranteed. I am sure that they were referring to the act that most hatchlings begin to feed within 1-2 weeks after hatching. Now did you let it acclimate for a week or so? I see you have only had the snake for 16 days or so. I think you are being a little too quick to post a bad guy report. Give it time. Try to feed it once if it refuses then "LEAVE IT ALONE" and try again in a few days or a week.

That video was done along time ago. I now use Flex watt on all my racks. I had UTHs under most of my cages. And It was not the same IP where are you getting this

If you look at his other posts there is a different IP. SO yes I used MY computer to post it but it was his words. He can attest for that.

Why in the world would you involve yourself if you had no ill will towards Outback Reptiles? It just does not make any sense to me.

I just posted it to help a friend. He is my best friend I posted it thinking mabye somthing good would come out of it. I have not a single thing against outback. I used to, a friend of mine used to tell me lies about outback. i believed him. We no longer talk due to lying on his part. I no longer want anything to do with him. In fact Shane was going to get me a pair of albino checkered garters from outback but he said there were none there. SOmetimes you do things for friends even i you think they are acting prematurly just because they are your friend. I even told him before hand that this thread was going to be interesting. He said go ahead and do it anyway

You aren't very good at this story telling, now are you? Yes, a different IP address, but STILL matching one of yours.

So you are admitting here that you logged in as shaneh1004 and then posted AS being him, using his name instead of your own as having typed those words. Is that true?

So tell me, what is the definition of "lying" and does what you did fit within that definition? I'll give you a hint: Was your name legally "Shane Howery" when you typed in that original post in this thread?

BTW, did he give you his login information here and specifically ask you to log in as him?
