    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is one of my many prototypes i have built. It measurers 8x4x1 and the front opens up for easy access, i am very happy with the results on this one.

can you tell me about the cage? show it set up outside? i'm looking for options. currently, I have a HUGE parrot cage I've snakeproofed and filled with climbing branches, but my buddy can't run, which is what he most wants to do and can't in his 55 gal indoor habitat.

i think I'd have to wire top and bottom. either he'd tunnel out, or some dreadful Sonoran lizard eater would dig in! I often see him digging bi dubias out from under rocks and logs in his tank.

What i did for the bottom was add 4 inches of gravel along the sides and a little extra on the corners and a 2 inch layer every were else but there burrow. Then i take sand and cover over all the gravel. The burrow i made a foot and a half deep by 2 feet wide, i them take a peice of plywood and put it on top of the burrow and cover the plywood with dirt to help insulate it, i also like the fact if i ever need to get them out i just have to lift the piece of plywood to get in the burrow. Supplys needed to build this enclosure is 1 sheet of 1/4 inch plywood (i recomend 1/2 inch),4 1x1 pieces of wood for the corners to make them stronger, a box of 3/4 inch screws, a roll of one inch or smaller poultry wire i used 2 feet wide (i recomend 3 feet) this is one of my 4 prototypes i have made and so far this seems to be there favorite. If you have anymore question you are free to contact me at 951-514-5210

Your boxes are clever and give dragons much more room than they would ever have in an aquarium type housing, and the overhang shield them from too much sun.
Have you ever thought of making these as a kit you could sell with everything pre cut?
Where is the door/entry?

The top opens up and i need to find a way to make the top more stable. I did think about making a kit but it would be when i get it perfected right now there all just prototypes and my dragons are loving the outdoors

Are your dragons secured in a predator-free fenced backyard or the like? The only reason I mention it is that I have fox terriers, and they'd be into that wire in a trice. Can you tighten the cross-wiring to give the chicken wire more rigidity for safety's sake, that is to keep creatures OUT rather than keeping dragons in?

My property is fenced and havent had a problem with stuff getting to my dragons but i do put a lot of gravel down and the chicken wire is scewd on instead of staples to make it stronger.

Looks awesome, did you change out the chicken wire for hardware cloth? That stuff is fantastic, not even foxes have gotten into that on my property (I use it for my chicken coop)

I'm going to eventually be building an outdoor enclosure for my tegu. I don't have any bearded dragons but I'd like a witblit someday, and I'd love to make something for that too. I've got plenty of room on 2.5 acres for it :D

Ya I decided to get rid of the chicken wire it caused to much of a head ache, and the original top was flimsy. this one is much better and gives them more room to climb up and look out. I now just have to make a burrow for them or a heated box for the winter.
