    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Over due intro with lots of progress pics

Great pics and helps me plan for my possible future doing this. I only was wondering does the sheds have exhaust fans? heck i also look into setting up a internet connection of some type so you can arrange a to set up for web cam/ some kind of temp /power lost warning system due to heat/ storm if not home.

No exhaust fans on my build. I have lots of venting in the top "attic" space though. Theres ridge vent holes in the ridge ( 30 1.5" holes per roof ) as well as bird block holes between the rafters ( again 30 1.5" holes ), and two 4"x12" vents on the front and rear triangle pieces. All together just over 200sq" of ventilation spaced out equally to get benefits from any direction of wind travel.

If you want more exhaust I would just do bigger roof vents or twirly roof vents. But you could just as easily add a 4" exhaust fan.

On the internet connection and all that fancy stuff. It would be nice, thats for sure. But Im home everyday, and I check on them twice daily. And when Im not home I get someone to take my place for the time. When I move out and am able to hopefully keep my snakes in the house then it will be much easier to have a monitored system that would notify me via text if my parameters were broken (temp/humidity).

it cool man I was asking cause were I live even a good shed can overheat sometimes in direct sun. I seen temps over 120 in my grandfather shed he built 3 summers ago at 11 in e morning. but he never put vents or fans in since they were just to store the mower in and his work shop. I know my old room when I lived at home I had to crack a window in the summer to keep the room from roasting my snakes. ( in late afternoons I recorded about a 20 degree increase cause the sun was shining on that side.) it got to the point I mounted a fan in the window that had a t stat controlling it.

So when my wife and I decide we can swing our own place and if I got to keep animals outside ( rodent or snakes) I plan on setting up fans and a wifi connection. I may even place a couple solar panels on top if it in the sun all day long lol.

Wow! Your good, hard work really shows, they look great! Thanks for sharing your pictures and story, I hope your sheds work well for your needs and am wishing you the best of luck with your boas! :thumbsup:
