    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We've been wanting to build a light tent and take decent pictures and finally did. Now all I need is a Nikon D3000 and I'll be extremely happy! These pictures, in my eyes, are not good enough. But will do for now. Enjoy!

Awesome pics Sam!!! Can't wait to take some pics of the hatchlings now!

The cinny male is looking good! We needa make some pewters with him ;)

Awesome collection, the mojave female is looking great!! You're making me want a sable now too. Ill have to get one of his babies off ya!

Very nice pics of some great animals! But if you think those pics are bad, I should really stop posting mine!! lol

You just need to move the lightsource to the front, facing down the same towards the animal a little more, thats why you have such a shadow. You really need minimal light in a lightbox, a couple works to kill shadows but light placement matters too. Nice pics! I think theyre overall totally fine!

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to try that. The shadows were killing me but I'll make adjustments as I go til they're perfect. :)

I would also try placing the subjects so that the head faces towards the camera. Center the animal, and try not to cut off pieces of the body in the shot.

But these look a lot better than the ones I took when I first began shooting photos of snakes. lol

What kind of bulbs are you using? Seems a little yellow. I found that using "daylight bulbs" helps with that.

Ya. I was trying, but most of them were not cooperation. It was just before feeding day. Not to smart of an idea I see. :)

Thanks for the help, but these are daylight bulbs. I'll have to adjust my white settings. Haha.
