In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here is my cinny girl! Sorry. The photos aren't the best and please excuse her tub. She tears up the newspaper as fast as I can put it in. Silly girl!

Is this an ovulation? Or just building? I'm leaning more toward ovulation but ??? My eyes aren't as experienced as some.

That's a tough one to call, but I'd say if she's not ovulating now, it won't be much longer. My females tend to get HUGE when they ovulate (slightly bigger than that), but yours is definitely very close if she isn't already. Keep an eye on her--if she swells bigger, you'll definitely know the ov. ;)

Well, our collection isn't too huge YET! So, we put our pastel male in with her(though its seems he just figured out how this locking thing is supposed to work yesterday ) and our spider boy(avatar pic) in with her. I know for a fact the spider locked with her a few different times. I'm really hoping for pewters, but I couldn't complain with some nice cinnabees!

Oh I am! I'm pretty stoked! I thought I'd ask for opinions since she didn't get nearly as big as some of the pics I've seen. As of now, neither of the boys seem interested. I guess I should keep introducing them just in case.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

I know last weekend I put my spider in with my normal girl that's glowing and building--he was crazy about her! LOL I'd never seen snakes stayed locked for 3 days straight before! I'd seen 2 days, but not 3--I was wondering when I was going to be able to separate them. hehe But I'd definitely keep introducing the boys for the time being--the more locks, the better your chances are. ;) As long as they'll breed, let 'em. LOL

And I think some cinnabees would be awesome! Wouldn't mind producing some of those myself in the future, so best of luck! But you can't go wrong with pewters, either! You definitely have some nice odds for this clutch! Keep us posted on what pops out. ;)

LOL I know my pastel was crazy about her a couple days prior to her swelling up... He just couldn't figure it out. It was pretty funny and sad at the same time.

I'll definitely be posting pics of eggs and babies ASAP!:D

(I also have a gorgeous pastel female paired with a fire. I can't wait for that clutch!!! Hopefully she takes!:yesnod: You can bet on more pics then too!)

I'd say that's an ovulation, though I have no first-hand experience. I missed my female's ovulation this year. :p Still not quite sure how, as I'd been expecting an ovulation, and I'd been checking her about once a day....

Congrats on the pairings! I hope you get lots of pretty babies...especially Fireflies!

funny you mention that, i jsut had a pastel male super breeder (he'd F#$# a garden hose ) stay locked to one of our big girls for 3 days as well

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with ball python males with stamina. After reading tons of breeders' comments about how long males stay locked up, I got the impression that anything past 24 hours was extremely unusual. And then, here comes my Lesser male, whose first introduction to a female results in a ~24 hour lock. This guy must be psychic, 'cause his last introduction to her went on for ~36 hours. :p Silly boy.

Well, I figured I'd give an update. When I went in the snake room this morning this is what I found! :dancer01:

4 eggs and a slug

This girl has been awesome, nearly textbook.

Ovy on 3-09-10
Shed on 3-24-10
Lay on 4-24-10

Yellow Belly Spiders?????

Here is my gravid spider. She bred to a yellowbelly and I was wondering if any of you guys have had luck getting some YB Spiders. She already had her prelay shed so she should be laying soon. I felt for follicles and feel like 6 + eggs. So if any of you guys have done a project like this let me know how it turned out.

No biggy. Pretty girl you got there! I've seen a few YBXspiders posted somewhere but I can't remember where at the moment. Good luck!

UPDATE!!!

The first egg pipped on the 23rd (Day 60). We couldn't wait any longer so we cut the other eggs. No cinnabees... But we did get a nice little surprise.

PICS!
