This is why people are reccommending that you just "run away", you are becoming TOO much involved giving your benefit of the doubt it is really making you look bad. I know what you are saying, she has something, and probably would ship it illegally or not at all, but this thread is growing like wild fire and when someone signs on all they see several pages later,,,,Diamond Exotics looking dumber and dumber, facts and more evidence being posted,,,,,,and Levi still looking to be at the defense of the scammer. But yes Levi, I do know where you stand I just reccommend you said your piece, and like I said earlier on, you did your part, but sticking around is doing nothing good to your personal reputation and I am sure you are probably a great person but its not helping here.

ok so I posted a few minutes ago and it didnt show up so I'll sum it up...I dont know either of these two...please feel free to check IP addresses...I can give references to people I know personally. I've never even been to MASS. but I can see why you would think that because it did seem like I was sticking up for her. I have proven her to either be fraudulant or ship illeagally. fedex has no record of her, they told me they could look closer with an account number. when I asked for this information she said she didnt have one and didnt have to be a verified shipper with fedex she just wrote "perrishable" on the package. illegal. then she told me she sometimes ships with UPS. at any ups store they package it for you and do not ship animals whatsoever.

sorry ignore the last post...My browser must not be working correctly...I will be sticking around in this thread...I am in no way defending either of the two scammers...No I have not spoken with her via the telephone only email. the reason for me to stick around and follow the thread is because I have personal involvement (and I get email notifications when something is posted) I do believe them to be scammers and nothing but. I understand why I look bad in this thread. I am not trying to restore my reputation at all. I just want to see where this goes. and thanks to this thread I am not being scammed, so there is an interest for me. hope this clears things up for you.

I'd say so....I had actually talked to him about his "het albinos" and he couldnt even figure out the correct percentage so I left that alone...but now twice he didnt get my money.

Shipping Live Animals

UPS provides service on a limited basis for packages containing some types of live animals. The term "animal" as used herein refers to anything living, except plants. While the list of "Accepted Live Animals" provided herein is an exhaustive list of animals that can be offered for transportation in accordance with the conditions listed, the list of "Prohibited Live Animals" is only a partial list of animals provided to clarify specific species that are not accepted for transportation and may not be shipped via UPS. Any animal not specifically listed on the "Accepted Live Animals" list is prohibited by UPS and will not be accepted for transportation.

Packages containing live animals must be prepared in accordance with the requirements as specifically stated herein. Packages containing live animals must provide for the basic humane care and safety of the animal during transportation. Any package containing a live animal shall be considered a perishable commodity and will be accepted for transportation solely at the shipper’s risk for any damage or loss arising from the perishable nature of the item. UPS shall not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages.

In the event a package containing a prohibited item is found en route or in the UPS system, that package will be stopped at the location or UPS facility of the discovery. UPS reserves the right to dispose of the package.

Endangered or Threatened Species

In addition to the Prohibited Live Animals list provided here, any live animal that is an Endangered Species is prohibited by UPS and will not be accepted for transportation. Shippers must refer to the list posted on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Web site, and the Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants 50 CFR 17.11 and 17.12, December 1999 (pdf file).

Live animals will only be accepted for transportation when shipped via UPS Next Day Air service, and such shipments will only be accepted Monday through Thursday.

Packaging

Design and Construction of the Primary Container: All live animals offered for transportation must be in a new box. Corrugated boxes must be constructed of a minimum of 275 # bursting strength corrugated or 44 edge crush test. It is recommended that any package containing animals requiring moisture during transportation be constructed of water-resistant material such as wax coated, wax impregnated, or plastic corrugated. Minimal ventilation holes should be provided as necessary.

Internal Packaging and Other Considerations: Internal packaging materials must be used based on the characteristics of the animal, taking into consideration the necessary humane care for the animal while in transportation. Lizards and geckos should be individually contained in bags constructed of breathable material, such as burlap. Insects should be contained in individual primary containers such as plastic jars with ventilation. Fish must be double bagged in strong plastic bags with a minimum thickness of 4 mils. Each primary bag should be approximately one third full of water with the remainder filled with oxygen.

Package Testing: Any packaging used or developed to transport animals should be submitted to an International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) certified package testing laboratory for pre-shipment testing in accordance with ISTA Procedure 3A before being offered for transportation.

Additional Considerations: Additional components such as food, moisture, and temperature controls should be added as necessary to provide a safe environment during transportation. Additional dunnage should be added to prevent movement of the primary containers or receptacles within the outer box.

Accepted / Prohibited Live Animals

Accepted Live Animals

This is a comprehensive list of live animals accepted for transportation. Shippers are prohibited from shipping any animal not listed here, and all other live animals will not be accepted for transportation. The following live animals are accepted for transportation unless poisonous, venomous, and/or a Threatened or Endangered Species.


Amphibians (All): Examples: frogs, salamanders, toads
Crustaceans (All): Examples: crabs, crawfish, lobsters, shrimp
Fish (All)
Insects (Limited to beneficial insects only): Examples: bees, butterflies, crickets, lady bugs
Mollusks (All): Examples: clams, mussels, snails
Reptiles (Limited to the following):
- Lizards: Examples: chameleons, geckos, iguanas, monitors, flying dragons
- Turtles: freshwater turtles (except: snapping turtles), land tortoises, sea turtles
Worms (All)

Prohibited Live Animals

Live Animals that are prohibited from being shipped and are not accepted for transportation include, but are not limited to:


Any poisonous, venomous or threatening animal
Any Threatened or Endangered species
Arachnids (All): Examples: mites, scorpions, spiders, ticks
Birds (All)
Crocodiles (All): Examples: alligators, caimans, gavials
Mammals (All)
Obnoxious Insects: Examples: flies, locusts, mosquitoes, roaches, termites, weevils
Snakes (All): venomous and non-venomous

I apoligise. I was unaware that ups does ship some animals. that was what I was told by a member of my family that owns a ups store...I should have researched that myself. but the fact remains that it was a Ball Python in question (which is a snake for those of us who do not know lol) and it clearly states that snakes are not to be shipped through ups venemous or non. so still illegal. so yes you were correct that ups does ship SOME animals, but I was also correct in saying that it is illegal to ship snakes through ups per their website.

Pamela of Extremeexotics - Not a Good Guy!!

Well guys I think I have been scammed after reading the numerous posts here.

Pamala and I have been corresponding via email and by phone with regards to a proposed trade for 06 pied male and a 07 pied female for my breedable bumblebee male and a breedable female pastel. Pictures of all ball pythons where exchanged via email and we agreed to ship on the same date 7/12/07 for next day delivery. The agreement was to email and call verifying packages were shipped. Which she assured me she would do. I emailed her tracking number immediately. I waited and did not hear from her today. I have called all numbers previously posted and could not get a hold of her. I did manage to speak to John and he indicated that she was at DHL shipping my package and that she would be back shortly. My wife called DHL, UPS, and FedEx - no delivery were in route from her zip to my zip code. I am learning a valuable lesson.

I have taken part in a lot of trades over the years and this is a first. She pulled that old you ship first business. That should have been my first clue. I give people the benefit based on my experience with other breeders I have not been worried about being scammed. I've met some great herpers for the first time doing trades.

My only advise to other is to learn from other peoples mistakes (mine), if possible. In this case stay away from Pamela on any future dealings. I may be out quite a bit of cash and time on this transaction. I will have to see what recourse I have with the Brockton, MA police department.

I have multiple emails backing up what has been written above. What gets me is I had to reassure Pamela that I was a reputable breeder and could be trusted.

I guess you live and learn.
