In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Soooo i keep seeing ball pythons that are being put up for sale with small discolorations or differences to their patters that people are calling paradox

now i have seen the paradox albinos...the paradox lucys and so on....and they are definatly paradox....but i am wondering if these small patteren differences i am seeing are really considered...in most eyes...paradox

in fact here is a good example

here is my 2009 lesser female (notice the dark little patch in her midsection)....i have seen many people claim small marks like this as paradox....guess i would just like to know what others think and what most consider to be a paradox in a morph :D

Its could be paradox -depends on if it stays through shed cycles, but maybe not enough to pay for either way. People like something different, and while paradox is possibly no more than a birthmark, the tendancy to get birth marks can be inherited. I.E. my Grandfather, father and I all have the same "birthmark" Something that you have to look for is usually not something that people will pay for.

Does that make any sense?

lol i understand the ideas behind paradox...just didnt know what people thought was to small to be considered one....her marks do stay after her sheds...look cooler in person...i am definatly one who loves oddities in snakes...so i understand people likeing those little "birth marks" lol

now of course those paradox lucys and albinos are worth the extra cash....simply for being so insainly unique lol

read a thread last night about a paradox lucy coming from a normal to mojo pairing...that was pretty cool

I guess some people call that paradox, I don't keep up with the ball market to that level of detail.

To me a paradox is a snake morph with an area of color or pattern that is absent in that morph by definition. Black on an albino, any color on a lucy etc.
I've never considered the odd placement of a patch of color when that color is found on the mutation anyway to be a paradox.

So by my own definition I wouldn't think to refer to that lesser as a paradox myself, but I can see how the label might be applied by some.

nicely said Clay. i tend to agree with you. i dont consider my lesser girl to be a paradox, just found it interesting to see marks like hers labled as such. figured i would see what other people thought

Is this a paradox?

I can see it both ways, yes, because it is a Lucy with color, but no, because alot of Black Eyed Lucies have color...

I think of a Paradox as an Albino, with normal coloring coming through, or an Ivory, with YB coloring coming through, or a Super Mojave, a white snake with Mojave coming through.
