    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone seen an eastern quite like this girl? I have never seen any without any pattern at all. I have seen a LOT of box turtles, but she is very unique. Just thought I would share some pics with you. The pics dont show it well, but her eyes are white/grey instead of brown.

Actually I came across one a week or so ago while I was working in the woods. She was a very large and pretty girl so I moved her to a safer spot and let her go so she can make some more pretty babies! Very nice turtle!

Arkansas has the three-toed box turtle though, correct? I think Three-toeds have patternless shells sometimes, but this is T.C.carolina. Either way, I think patternless ones are sometimes better looking than ones with a ton of pattern.

You are correct, I didnt even notice that! Sorry! Either way that's a very pretty one and I agree, the patternless ones are nice!

I came across an adult eastern male years ago down here in Mobile county, Al. Completely patternless with the color of a new, copper penny. Skin was jet black with little spotting. Really wish I had taken a photo!

Yes sir, positive it's not a gulf coast. This girl was found in SC and all we have here are the T.C. Carolina. I have some gulf coast and she isnt quite as big as my gulf coast females either. The same area she was found, I found some other females that were really light colored like her, but they had at least some pattern. I thought it was an albino at first. Its hard to tell by the pics but the shell is almost a peach/orangish color.

Sorry what I read and maybe I read wrong but the post said she came from Mobile,Alabama or was that where you are from?? Sorry for the misunderstanding. Where in S.C.?? For I may be up that way soon to got visit my son.Columbia. If I come acrossed any that look that way I will let you know!

oh I see where the confustion came in. I thought you were asking me(the guy that started the thread) if the one pictured was a gulf coast. You might have been asking the guy that posted right above your post? His location is AL. Im about 2 hours east of columbia. Charleston SC.
