In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I finaly got some Leos again. I know that PetCo is not the best place to by Leos from but I could not resist them at $20. But know I am at a loss as I am trying to disern if this one is a Patternless or a Blizzard. I thought that Patternless had large spots as babies. Since she has no spots I thought she was a Blizzard but now I am thinking she is a Patternless.

Thanks,
Jeff C

Welcome aboard Jeff!

Yeps, its a little patty...

Last time I talked to Bill Brant (Petco's Leo supplier) he admitted that The Gourmet Rodent has never worked with a Blizzard lizard of any kind.

Kind of strange, I'd think that with all the room they have at their facility they'd be one of the breeders working on the Blazing Blizzard project...

But thats what I'd get for thinking.

Well actualy Bill is not the only Leo supplier for PetCo. In fact when I asked the store manager where they came from she pulled the invoices and the only leos they have got over the last couple of months came from Cal Zoo and Quality Reptiles. It kinda surprised me as I also thought that Bill & Marcia Brant/The Gourmet Rodent was Petco's Leo suplier.

patty!!!

Yes, it's a patternless baby! If you got it from Petco, please have a stool sample taken in for a parasite check ASAP, and don't forget to quarantine!!!

Bill and Marcia Brandt have been supplying leopard geckos wholesale to Petco for years. That is why you can sometimes find some real 'screamer' tangerines there. Here in California, many stores do go through CalZoo as a secondary source, though. Suprisingly for those who are unaware, Ron Tremper supplies wholesale leos to PetsMart under his 'other' business, C.R.A.P. (Center for Amphibian and Reptilian Propagation).

Man, I sure do wish that we could go through Cal Zoo here in Colorado (only thing we get from Cal Zoo here is hermit crabs).

Of all the suppliers that we deal with, I'd have to say that Cal Zoo is about the most respected. Well, at least they appear a bit healthier.

I'd agree with Marcia, get a fecal done on that little bruiser.

Enjoy your leo(s).
