I will start by saying that, under normal circumstances, this post would be a bit premature. Usually, I would never post it at this point. However, given the recent developments concerning Mr. Edwards' business practices, I thought I would go ahead and post, mainly to see if others have had the same experience.
In Fall 2007 I purchased 1.2 het ghost ball python hatchlings from Paul that were advertised on KS. They were good feeders, and I got them all up to breeding size quickly. I got a clutch out of both females in 2009: one clutch of 5, and one clutch of 6 for a total of 11 eggs. Both of these girls were bred to the het ghost male that came with them. These eggs recently finished hatching, and I got zero ghosts from the 11 eggs.
Like I said, I know this could very easily be a case of bad odds / luck; however, with 11 eggs there should have been a ghost in there. I will breed the females to a homozygous ghost next year and see what happens.
Has anyone else had poor luck with hets from Paul Edwards?
