    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I received emails 4 emails tonight from a Paul James all asking about different adds I had on Fauna. I answered the first 2 but after I got the others it seemed suspicious and I didn't reply to them. Now he has emailed me back wanting to buy a 10 lot of ball pythons for $175. He wants to send me a cashiers check for $1900. All I have to do to make this sell is deposit the check and send him back the extra $1725.
This is a Scam I'm sure most people have heard of but just wanted to warn anyone that hasn't.

Thanks for the warning!

I have heard of that kind of scam, but this is the first time that I have seen or heard of a personal account of it in action.

As you were posting so was I. sorry for the double post but I now see it is a scam
 
Had the same situation of a car i was selling for 2000 the guy wanted to send me a 7000 check and me send him the remaining 5000
What happens is the guy sends you the check and you cash it and supposedly it is sooo fricking real the bank accepts it then you get the cash and send him the five grand. and once the check circulates through the bank system it is marked for fraud and now your responsible for that 7000 check you cashed

I love that site....we should all commit to agreeing to Mr James request when he contacts you, just to keep him busy sending bogus checks. :rofl:
