    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You know what I find ironic? He went into his little tirade stating that he was going to ruin you. Yet, somehow, he has found himself on quite a few people's lists of "Do not sell to." I am kind of ashamed to admit it but I find that quite.....exhilarating!

I am not sure. He mentioned something in one of his e-mails about coming here on the BOI and "devouring my ass online" I really do not care what he thinks. His mind was made up from the start. Paul is the special kind of guy that knows everything. He has no desire to open his mind, and I have no desire to waste my time trying to change that. I came here so that the truth could be told.
 
Those Kingsnake mods are pretty quick. They must not like any mention of the BOI... BTW Griz, I did catch your reply there. It was much appreciated. One of these days I am going to get a chance to do something nice for you.

I really do feel bad for you and the animals. I also think they met their fate from and unknown source which we all face when shipping snakes. I doubt your shipping had anything to do with their death. The part I don't understand is why you would expect him to pay to ship the snake back to you. I do believe Paul conducted himself poorly but since the snake arrived dead all expenses are on you. Hope this all works out for all involved. JMHO. Ron Radloff
 
Heat packs

Sounds like a fluke that day with the shipping . Just wanted to add, instead of relying on Wal Mart for heat packs consider www.reptilepackaging.com, they carry a wide variety of heat packs specifically designed for animal shipping. Shipping is free on a $50 order, not hard to meet since they carry a lot of useful stuff. I suspect the "hand warmer" type heaters heat up quickly but don't last long. If your shipping from a warm climate to a cold climate you want ones that will heat up gradually like a 30 or 60 hour pack.
 
Ron, your opinion is appreciated. I never really expected that he would ever send the snake. I pretty much covered my reasons, for everything I said (both right and wrong) in earlier posts. I was pretty clear. I am guessing you skimmed through the first post and some of the others as well. I realize they were long, and not very entertaining. I will try better next time. Again, thanks for the thoughts and concerns.
 
Not trying to stray off topic too far, but I have some info I thought I would add to this. On or about the time that your shipments were sent out, I also sent out about 7 shipments to various destinations. One box had a madagascan hognose, off to s. Florida. Another went to n. Florida with a pair of Arizona Green Ratsnakes. Another went to NY with some Amazon tree boas, and another to Dallas with Indo Box turtles. There were 3 more that same day to California. The California orders arrived on time, no problems. All the other shipments got delayed or lost for a day. The boas got to NY alive, as did the turtles to Dallas. Both the shipments to Florida were doa. The weather was clear all the way to Florida, no storm fronts to speak of or anything. The temps were not bad from here to there. The snakes sent were not delicate in any way. They were packed perfectly. The temps in the box were perfect. The boxes were not damaged during transit. Yet the animals in the boxes were dead. Just so happens that the hognose went to a vet student in Jacksonville, and he believes that it's possible the snake died from C02 poisoning, or some other thing such as that, since there is no other sign of what could be a problem. All these shipments were sent via fed ex. Makes you wonder why all the dead stuff around the same time, if not on the same exact day. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm..., oh, by the way, I refunded the money for the hognose, and sent the other fellow another pair of green ratsnakes, which he loved so much he actually bought another pair. Helped make up for the money lost on the refunds. Thank you.
 
They pulled my reply on kingsnake as well.... looks like he's doing a good job of making himself look unstable all on his own though!

In regards to heat packs, I've found www.rldtheheatsource.com to be great. There 35+ hour heat packs are so cheap, their shipping is cheap and fast, and the 35+ really means +! After 2 days it was still a little warm and temped at around 85! Plus they don't get too hot either. I live in Canada so shipping from sept-may is COLD ;)

Sorry about all the loss, and the PITA that now comes with it...

Did you or Ken talk to Fed Ex about the losses and why they might have occured? Since they are willing to take reptiles maybe they would be interested to know about this. From another thread I believe they have a person that specifically deals with animal shipments?

One thought I had that with the extra volume around the holidays could they be subcontracting out some of the air freight or using a different method than usual?

That is interesting. Sorry to hear about your loses as well. I should also mention that I sent out 3 packages through Fed Ex the day before this happened. They all arrived on time and alive. The packages were:

1.0 adult Durango Mt. Kingsnake sent to San Antonio, TX
1.0 2004 Rosy Boa sent to Roseville, MN
1.1 2005 Bairds Ratsnakes sent to Albuquerque, NM

I scanned that thread briefly in KS, and don't care to illustrate it any more than it is worth. But I didn't see any specific reference to James or his business, which can usually get the thread booted over there anyway. Enlighten me if I am wrong, but while Paul huffed-and-puffed in the emails, he seems to have avoided an all out assault on James, which the BOI would certainly allow. I'm sure that a few of us wouldn't mind seeing him show up here and give it a whirl !
 
I think he avoided an all out attack on me on the kingsnake forums because he did not want it deleted. He was looking for people to e-mail him in privite so he could "fill them in" in his own way as to what a bad guy I am. Let me refresh your memory with my e-mail to him offering him a unconditional refund, and his direct response.

Thank for that. I do not need pics or a body. It is apparent that the snake arrived DOA. I just require civil treatment. I will go ahead and send you a refund. Thanks for your time.

I Don't Think So :) People spout some out of this world :censored: and the harder they try the worst they look, Bro, I wouldn't give this any thought. you are the one who will come out on top, you did all you could "You made it right" and just from that 1 phone call, I know you are a man of honor. Things are not looking as friendly for Paul on Kingsnake either. People are reading this thread and seeing Paul in a new light. Posts are being deleted all over the place.

This may sound crazy, but this is not what I wanted for Paul, I really did not want to bring this here at all. This was Paul's wish, not mine. I really wish he could have been a little more professional about things, and I wish he would not have put me in this position. I do not do well with threats. He still has not contacted me. He does not really want a refund, he just wants drama.
 
All is well thank you, slowly pulling myself up :) Learning for pass crap...But You are one of the best in this business and just because of my own happened crap I will stand by the people in this hobby(for what it's worth) That go above that bar to try and make their customer happy Bro you do fall in that category :)
