    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I tip my hat off to paypal security center. They deserve a good guy rating. A couple days ago I lost my paypal debit card, which is linked to my paypal online acct.
Whoever found or stole my card made several purchase with it and used it as a credit card rather than a debit card ( that way they didn’t’ need the pin # )
Too make a long story short, they charged several hundred dollars worth of stuff to my acct. Paypal security knew my card was not in my possession before I did. They called me and asked me if I had my card. I checked my wallet only too find they were right. They immediately froze the acct. I filed a police report right away and paypal issued me a new card with in a few days.
I give paypal two thumbs up !

thank god i have not had that problem but the idea that they watch things that carefully is a reassurance in this day and age.

paypal sucks  I bought something from someone  with the nick name of herpsss  and he owed me a refund for shipping so then he sent me my  13.00  then paypal turned around and took the 13.00 away from me and asked me to prove a shipping tracking # well I did not have one because I was the reciever and I told them this but they still wont give me my money back  now they say that my time has run out because I did not prove a tracking #  dah I was the reciever  what a joke  I will never use them to recieve money again they stole my money and wont give it back

sounds like this other person turned around and decided that they didn't want to give you the refund after all. *shrug* I have yet to have a problem with them, but nor do I *ever* allow cash to sit in my paypal account. I'll either use it for another purchase immediately or withdraw it.
 
We do a great deal of business through paypal and have never had an issue.  It is good to know they have a look out for rip-offs.  Thanks for taking the time to let us know.

  Update on paypal.
Paypal was able to refund all the money to my acct.

I'm sorry to hear about what happend with you money.
I did have a similar situation with them acouple months ago.
I sold someone some albino sandboas. 3 weeks later the charges were reversed from my acct. The person who purchased the boas was being investigated for credit card fraud. Unfortunately there isn't a merchant acct. available that wont do the same thing.
After someone paypals you money paypal or any other merchant acct. can reverse the charges. They have up to 4 weeks if there is a problem with the buyers acct. So when you think you've been paid and you've already shipped the animals to the buyer......THINK again. If they are up to no good and using a stolen card, you could be the one to EAT it !
But that's part of excepting credit cards.
After this incident, i feel pretty safe trusting paypal with my transactions

Eh, i had my battles w/ paypall, u cant fight them on most things and if u do, it takes a month to get back to u..

I got a sick iggy from someone, it was almost dead, shipping wasnt granted, what not, its on the board, u all know what im talking about...

i fillied paypall for DAMAGED goods, and false advertising by the seller, also i used mail fraud to prove my case. they wouldnt do anything,

otherwise, when buying stuff off ebay, paypall is great <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

just my 2 words...
