Juveniles are a great option for those not wanting to wait thru the time it takes a hatchling to grow out of the need to feed a special diet consisting of live worms, roaches and crickets ETC.
Juveniles are mature enough to understand and explore around them (that includes you).
They are calmer and less prone to injury.
As with most species, the majority of learning occurs after infancy as the brain grows and develops. All tegus share the genetic makeup that makes them so special.
Tameness and curiosity are not traits that can not be bred. Tegus learn as they grow.
My tegus are Guaranteed Healthy and Happy upon arrival.
Every Tegu in my inventory undergoes preventative parasite applications: Fenbendazole ( Panacur ),Metrondizole ( Flagyl ).
