In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

For all you other bearded dragon owners out there............................

Please Please Please

Do not advertise your lizards with a nasty filthy cage in the background. I was on reptibid today just looking around and saw 2 auctions that made me want to scream. I am sure it is not just me but when you try to sell a beardie presentation is a good % of the overall appeal of the animal.

DO NOT DO THIS!!!

In all honesty ... Thats called a clue to buyers as to the way the babies being sold are taken care of. I always look in the background of the photo for clues to the cleanliness of the breeder.

I know I avoid sellers that post pics like that in any ad they display.

And then those are the poeple that call asking why the babies are eating each others tails. :hot:

Look at their poor tails! The one furthest right's tail looks awful :(

That's horrible, just pathetic. Someone doesn't know how to take care of bearded dragon hatchlings...
Hockeymom

It is possible that there was just one aggressive "meanie" in the bunch that terrorized all the other babies but I don't think that is the case here. It's just my humble opinion but by looking at the pictures they seem to be in a very small enclosure. Babies get stressed very easily when they are over crowded. It leads to missing tail tips, toes, fingernails, and even death. Those poor babies were missing well over half their tails.

It's a shame but I would venture to say that the condition of the cage may have something to do with why the tail injuries appeared to be black dying tissue. Infection would be easily transmitted to the babies living in that filth. And it is obvious that the seller cared very little for the well being of the babies.
Then to take a picture of it :hot: Like the injuries weren't shocking enough we have to see the filth too...........................

Let's hope that is last of his dragons to sell and he has no more to neglect.

That is awful. Their enclosure should be cleaned daily and from the looks of the picture this person hasn't cleaned it in about a week. The nips are bad and I have been lucky enough not to experience nips from my babies. I guess kepping them clean, well fed and hydrated in a suitable enclosure isn't everyone's requirement.

That is just NASTY!!!

I think that forcing that guy to live in his own filth for a week or two might teach him something about husbandry.....ya think? :hot:

Cheap people want to buy the cheapest animals, then they complain when they die... You have got to remember, there would be no pictures like this if everyone reacted like we do. But someone must be interested in buying them, otherwise there would be no demand, and thus no ads period. I find it equally, if not more disgusting, that even with crappy care like that, someone is bound to buy those animals.

That is disgusting! There is another ad at reptibid for a group of leopard gecko that is just as terrible. And the guy is asking like 350.00 for the group. As if advertising such nasty codintions wasn't bad enough.

Some people just needed to be culled as an infant.................................

lol amen

But seriously that is some pretty disgusting $hit :uzi: people like that just need to pull their head out of their @$$es and stop torturing animals.

LOL Thats is insane!!!! Thats like trying to sell your house and having the Realtor walk people through with dog and cat doo doo all over the place. Now while I keep immaculate cages, I use vinyl tiles as substrate which are super easy to clean, I still use a big rubbermaid tub with repticarpet for auction photos, or rather I used to haven't sold anything in about 2 years.
