In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The owners of the home made famous by the 1979 movie "The Amityville Horror" meticulously swapped its Hollywood look, at left, for a more modern approach, shown below.

But PETA isn't having any of that. The animal rights organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, would like to lease the house while it's for sale for $1.15 million for its own "Amityville Slaughterhouse of Horrors."

The haunted-house style exhibit "would graphically depict the horrors that animals who are raised and killed for meat, milk, and eggs must endure on factory farms and in slaughterhouses," according to a news release from PETA.

Look at the suckers out there.... they want to pay 1.15 MILLION to rent a house why it is on the market to be sold. Bet all those folks that donated didnt know their money was going towards rent.

Just saying PETA puts a bad taste in my mouth :-/

My little brother had a little "seminar" one time by a PETA thumper at school and it made him become a "vegetarian" at age 6. Little did he know hamburgers came from a cow as well :p so he wouldn't eat any meat besides hamburgers. Now he is older and realizes that PETA is dumb, but come on... trying to lie to little kids to make them try to help your unworthy cause... pathetic...

Isn't talking badly about meat a crime in Texas. :shrug01:

WTH? There's a big difference between a Hollywood guts n gore haunted house and a PETA guts n gore haunted house - like reality!

Perhaps PETA might want to reconsider and use the location for THEIR OWN horror exhibit.

According to the 2009 Virginia Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services report (linked above) submitted by Daniel A Kovice, DMH, MPH - PETA Staff Veterinarian for PETA Animal Control & Health, PETA has plenty to draw upon for it's own graphic depiction at the Amityville location. Freakin' hypocrites.

How the heck did they get into a school!?? but you cant say the pledge????? wonder how cold Canada really gets.....

I think this is really hilarious. I'd make them sign a contract agreeing to leave the house in the same condition they found it in, and let them do it. I mean, seriously, it's 1.15 MILLION dollars...just for a lease?
They should auction that place off on Ebay afterward. I mean, Amityville was a hoax, but the house is worth a fortune to a fan. I've always thought the present owners were being very foolish about the whole thing--that place is a gold mine.

If it were mine, I'd turn it into a bed and breakfast. ^_^
