In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry petacular exotics?

I have never bought from them but I know people who have and said they have amazing animals. I've thought of getting some gargoyles from them.

Petacular in contra costa? They are closing at the end of the month according to this story from my newspaper:

I would try and speak to one of the owners to see if they will be continuing online sales after the closure of their brick and mortar store. If the answer is yes, and you can find some positive dealings, there's not necessarily a reason not to purchase. If the answer is no, I would be concerned about guarantees on any animals purchased.

Good luck.

I've bought and sold to them from/for my personal collection as well as have sold to them from the company I work for - no complaints on my part...

I live roght down th eroad from them. They are very knowledgeable people and have a good rep in town and in the surrounding areas. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them. I have in the past. Feeders and supplies.

2 things, 1. animal cages are very dirty, hardly ever cleaned. and 2. I purchased 2 ball pythons from them, a spider morph and a pastel morph. I was told that the spider was female and the pastel was male and was assured many times before the purchase that he had probed the spider 2 times and was 100% sure it was female (he being Brian the store manager). Well, a week after buying them I noticed some strange behavior when put together for an hour while I was finishing building my rack. The spider was on top of the pastel spurring like there was no tomorrow! I immediately took the animals in to the serpentarium to have them sexed. Sure enough the spider was male, he was popped and there were sperm plugs. I video taped this for evidence. I called Brian to let him know that I wanted to keep the animal but that he should make it right because we spent way more than it was worth being male. He said the following "I have been sexing snakes for more than 20 years and I am 100% that is a female." I told him that it's hemipenes were popped and we even saw sperm plugs, to which he replied "I dont trust popping, its never accurate". I about hit the floor! You mean that when you can see hemipenes with your own 2 eyes that there is some error? I can understand if you dont get anything and then sure you can mistake a male for female until you prob (which was also done). After he raised his voice and got a really big attitude telling me that he didnt believe me and that I have to bring the snake back in for him to prob again, I gave up. I cut my losses and decided to never return. If he probed it 2 times already by his own word and still thought it was female then I wasnt risking him injuring my snake by trying again. He also said that even if for some crazy reason he is wrong he would offer me feeders for the price difference. Thats rediculous!

I've purchased animals in the past (I was pleased with them and had no issues) but over the last couple years they have really gone downhill. I've only been there a few times since the last time I bought a gecko there.

Last time I was there (a few months ago) the store cages were absolutely filthy and I saw snakes and leopard geckos that were being "maintenance fed"- looked more like they were being starved to me.

To be honest, I'm surprised that they haven't been shut down for unsanitary conditions and animal abuse. I know I can't be the only one who has reported them...

Man Tim I am sorry to hear Brian treated you so badly. I remember that spider it was in the rack on the back wall. I was gonna purchase that same snake. I was also told it was a female. How is he doing now?

Yup, the one in the rack on the back wall...
HE is my best breeder  HIS girlfriend is about to lay her clutch in a couple weeks. Yea, I am not sure why the attitude :shrug01: I am a loyal costumer of anybody that treats me right and fair. All I suggested to him was to do me a solid on the next purchase, but he offered me feeders :ack2: The price difference was at least $200 from male to female retail wise, he was gonna give me $200 in feeders?? It's whatever tho, I still have HIM and HE is a fantastic snake all around. Oh yea other issue was Brian swore up and down the the spider and pastel were the best eaters and took rats no problem, the only way to get the spider to eat a rat is to make sure it is completely scented with mouse

I have heard the owner is a stand up guy and I can't comment on the other employees, but Brian's "My STUFF don't stink" attitude was rediculous.

The smell from the pigeons was foul also :yesnod:
