I have been keeping quiet for a long time, and have finally decided to keep quite no longer about how Petco is abusing reptiles. I live in California, and every Petco I have been to have reptiles that are either sick or live in less than adequate conditions. The reason why I am making this thread is so people can be aware if they aren't already and hopefully so Petco will end this abuse.
Awhile back I went to Petco to get cat food. I walked by the reptile section and was completely shocked at what I saw. The corn snakes, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, water dragons, green iguanas, savannah monitors, crested geckos and ball pythons all had improper temperatures and humidity, stuck shed on their bodies, wrinkled skin, and were skinny. I talked to the manager and he told me that the issue would be addressed. It's been months and nothing has changed.
I'm not sure what to do. I've already asked the manager to fix the problem and he hasn't done that. I really hope that someone here can help and I really hope that I'm not breaking the rules in any way. If I am, I'm sorry! I have posted a photo of one of the thin leopard geckos I saw.
