Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I paid for two high end ball python morphs a week before labor day. After two weeks, Brent was supposed to have shipped them overnight via DHL but never did. I was on hold for over 15 minutes and nobody picked up the phone. When I called back they just hanged up on me because they were busy.

Brent sent an email saying he will refund the entire amount, but i'm still going to dispute it because i do not trust him. They might have great prices, but terrible customer service and lack of communication.

I do not understand why I have to wait 7 days for a refund when nothing was shipped, nothing was received. This should be a credit on my debit card IMMEDIATELY.

Do NOT buy from this guy. Also, Brent is a 16yr old kid that does not own Petopia Pets.

Just wanted to give you an FYI. Brent is a 16 year old kid. His mom owns a pet store. I spoke to him recently via phone about a possible deal (he was brokering some jungle burms for a breeder). I spoke to him a couple of times, but also told him that I would not be able to make a transaction with a minor. He did ask me if I wanted to speak to his mother, but I ended up just passing on everything he was offering.

"I ordered a pick up for friday. You can't just call and say ship it now. The snake will be there saturday as we agreed upon the last time you called and wanted me to ship the snake at 9pm when dhl pick ups closed.

UPDATE: PETOPIA PETS has not refunded me the money. However, our bank has issued a refund for the charged amount and they are waiting an additional 27 days to begin a formal claim with VISA.

Petopia Pets or Brent have NOT returned any phone calls about this issue other than an email stating a full refund will be given in 7 days, but that was 11 days ago. I'm not sure what type of scam they are trying to pull off, but don't they know they can't keep the money?

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PETOPIA PETS!!!

My name is Tracy Taylor and I'm in the same situation, Brent didn't refund me for the spider ball I bought from him and I'm still having to dispute with him and get my money back. I just thought I'd let you know I'm in a bad situation with him too.
 
I received my full refund today. It took several emails w/o responses. Three phone calls to Brent in which he said he was taking care of it. Several voicemails that were never returned. An official BBB complaint, a bank dispute, and a pending VISA merchant complaint for false advertisement.

Vendor sold items to multiple buyers without having any items in his possession.

Hello my name is vinny ferraiolo. I, along with my wife, own Off The Ark Exotic pets in Chester, Va., about 10 miles south of pettopia. I know Brent and Hias mother tori, the real owner of Pettopia. It is true Brent is 16, BUT he is learning about the animals that he sells and Pettopia is a really nice pet store. Every business is going to have a few unhappy customers for whatever reason. PLEASE don't avoid a business based on 1 unhappy customer. call them, talk with them THEN make up your mind. We deal with them aften and have never had any problems. Vinny
 
This is a LOT more than "one unhappy customer"! There are 2 people just on this thread that he OWES MONEY to for accepting payment for animals and then never shipping them. An "unhappy customer" is someone who got a product for their money, and it wasn't quite what they thought it would be. These people were ripped off.

Hey Vinnie, funny you should talk about an unhappy customer like that, didnt' you do the same thing these guys at Pettopia are doing to a guy up in NH?????? small world vinny hope you made it right with Eli...... he knows to many people.

and for the record an unhappy cusotmer is when they RECIEVE goods and they are disappointed with any aspect of that PURCHASE......

This is Tori the owner of Petopia. I hope that most of you know that anyone using any name can post inncorrect information on the internet. There was only one person that had to wait a few days for a refund, because HE changed his mind and did not want the snakes after he SPECIAL ORDERED them. Sometimes different things are out of our control such as shipping weather and we can not ship right away, we will not endanger the animal just because someone can't wait an extra day or two.
I have had whole shipments of animals die due to airlines shipping to wrong destinations and spending 24 hours in Hot warehouses, and receiving no compensation from them, yet have not bashed them even though they deserve it. I have also purchased reptiles from some of the big companies out there and have gotten totally screwed, but yet again I have not bashed them saying NEVER buy from them again, because maybe other people have not had bad experiences with them. So stop telling lies . There are no outstanding refunds due any customers and those customers that have not canceled their special orders have all received them. If anyone would like references from regular customers,just ask we are more then happy to supply them to you.
