In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Pets Plus Lockport, Kick Brothers - (INFO)

Fred Kick

I was on Kingsnake one night and saw Fred selling some ball pythons. I called him up and inquired about what else he may have for sale. So we got to talking and I purchased 4 snakes from him. The one snake is the reason for this reply. Albino Male, I called the second I opened the snake bag and asked him what was wrong with the vent on the Albino. He told me that the snake had been cooled and it was his Hemmy sticking out. Now, I haven"t done much breeding until this year and from what it looked like it could have been. well a few weeks later I pull the snake out after he hooked up with the Het albino I also purchased from Fred, there was blood all over the place, there was apparantly a tumor of some type growing out from the Vent of the Albino. I call Fred and ask him what the hell is wrong with the snake, he then proceeds to tell me that the snake was born with a deformed vent and that it will not bother him, I told him that it did bother him and it is all grown and bloody and puss was oozing out of it. So I took it to the Vet and they gave me some shots and cream. The meds stopped the growth and its not as bloody anymore and I am going to see another vet to see about surgery to get it fixed. So back and forth Fred and I go at it, he says send me the reciept for the Vet Bill and said he would help out, well guess what, nope never happened. I told him that he lied to me when we innitially spoke about the snakes and that he owes me another good Albino Male snake, he tells me that he doesn't have to do a G" D" Thing, I told him that it was bad business to be treating people like this. Anyways, I think he is a BAD guy and I will never do business with him again.

Fred Kick, deformed male albino

WOW! Brad, that really sucks. I'm starting to learn more about Fred. He definitely needs to make it right with you, and the best way is what you suggested, send you another male albino. You should post some pictures of his vent. That snake is absolutely worthless as a breeder, so what you basically have is a nice looking pet.

I have talked to him about it several times and he is now avoiding my calls. i am going to talk to the vet this week about getting surgery for him and hopefully it will be ok to breed next year after he heals up. As far as the pictures, I will have to figure out how to get them on my computer, but I will do that this weekend as well. I just know that I will not be spending any more money with him. Which I spend a lot of money when I spend, in fact I spent 2 grand with him with the purchase of 4 snakes from him.

I hate to break it to you, but the odds of you getting ANYTHING back from your deal is slim to none... Their company is only interested in the money... not in taking care of their customers, not in the health or wellbeing of their animals... Cash and nothing else...
I'm sorry you had to find out about them the hard way... Good luck, hopefully they do the right thing... but from my personal experieces with them... the won't.

Fred Kick & Albino Male

Brad, I agree also. Pretty lousy way to treat customers. The vet bills alone will probably cost you the price of a new snake. That's a lot of money for a small hobbyist. Hopefully he will do something for you, but if not, I guess the only thing you can do at this point is to get pictures on the BOI & ruin their credibility. you would think their reputation would be worth more than their cost of sending you a new snake. This is one reason I dont like the idea of buying snakes over the net, much preferring to buy only after seeing them in person, when I can drive them right home.

First off, I think the Kick brothers have shown me all I need to know, to know enough not to buy from them.

The second thing, that kind of bothers me, is the fact that you still want to breed this snake. That snake should probably be someone's pet, retired in a big ole cage with hides and branches, to live his life out in style. If you want an Albino breeder, you should sue the Kick's for the price of the snake as well as the vet bills, and buy a legit Albino to someday breed.

Fred Kick

That sounds like an awesome plan, anyone got any ideas on how I should go about sueing them and what not? If you know anyone that can help, please send them my way.
